Chapter 1

***LEIGH-ANNE'S POV***

'The winners of The X Factor 2011 is...LITTLE MIX!!'

I still remember the day that we won like it was yesterday. The first couple of years was amazing and I can honestly say that I felt like one of the luckiest girls on the planet. Jade, Jesy and Perrie and I instantly clicked and it felt like we had been best friends for more than a couple of years. However, after Wings, DNA, Change your Life and How ya Doin' had been released and the DNA tour had finished things started to change between me and the three girls. I  couldn't quite put my finger on what was going on but the atmosphere when we were all in the room seemed to feel different and I always felt like they never really wanted to hear my ideas and that whenever I was around I was a nuisance and that they didn't really want me there. When I spoke to Jordan he told me to not be so silly. When I thought it through, I knew I was probably being stupid and blowing things way out of proportion.

It was the 25th of February and it was the last show of the DNA tour and tonight we were in Newcastle. I was so proud of how far we had come and I knew that Perrie and Jade would be even more emotional tonight than any other night as this was their home town and all their family and friends were in the audience. The thing with the other girls had been slipping in and out of my head after I had spoke to Jordan a couple of weeks ago. I knew I was probably being stupid and that it was probably just me thinking that the girls were talking about me. I must have been day dreaming backstage because I was brought back to reality by someone shouting:

"Leigh-Anne!! Why aren't you ready! We have 10 minutes then we have to be on stage. Lilly (our make-up artist) and Joey (costume director) have been calling you for the past 15 minutes and the door was locked. We thought something had happened!  We can't be late tonight, how will that make us look if it is the final show and we are late on stage."

Perrie had just barged in through our dressing room door and I just realised how behind I was. I hadn't had my make-up done and I was still in my grey onesie which a beautiful mixer had given to me when we left America back at the beginning of the year. I rushed up as quickly as I could as I said:

"I'm sorry, I had my headphones in and I locked the door because I was speaking to my sister and didn't want anyone to walk in but don't worry Perrie, I will be ready for 9pm. You go back to the other girls and I will go to Lilly and explain what has happened."

I think Perrie had started to talk to me but I didn't finish hearing what she said as I was quickly rushing through all the corridors to the make-up room. I passed a frantic looking Jesy but didn't have time to stop and explain why I was still dressed in my pyjamas when we were meant to be going on stage in 10 mins. I managed to get my make-up done while I was also trying to get my costume on. I wasn't quite sure how I did it, but I managed to make it to the stage with seconds to spare. I was having my harness double checked by our stage director when I saw the girls give me a quick glare. They didn't have time to say anything before the music to We R Who We Are began to play and the audience erupted into screams and shouts. For now I was going to forget what had happened tonight, forget the glare that the girls gave me before we went out onto stage and go out there and put on the show of my life for all of the mixers. Sometimes, I think they are the only reason I keep spending so much time away from my family. Seeing them smile and enjoy themselves is the best part of this job.
