Brooke's POV
I got home after my eventful night and finally got some much needed sleep. I woke up the next morning and strutted out of my room in pink pajama pants and a white tank top. The betas and Derek were already up and training.
"Good morning, sleepy head" Isaac greets me with a smile.
I smile back, "Morning"
"Glad you could sleep late enough" Derek mouths off from his crouched position. I notice he is also wearing a tank top, but his is grey. He hates matching, even in the slightest bit, so I pray that he won't notice my wardrobe and make me change.
I check my phone, "It's only 9:30, and what did you expect? It's spring break"
Derek just tenses his jaw and nods for Isaac to continue whatever he was doing before I arrived. Isaac flings open a box, and immediately furrows his brows
"What's that?" Isaac points to the sign that's embedded in the lid of the box.
"It's a triskele. Spirals mean different things" I announce.
Boyd speaks up from the subway cart, "Past,Present, Future. Mother,Father,Child."
Derek seems impressed, "You know what it means to me?"
"Alpha,Beta,Omega?" Boyd asks.
"Thats right," Derek smiles, "It's a spiral. Reminds us that we can all rise to one or fall to another"
"Betas can become alphas, but alphas can also fall to betas or even omegas" I decide to add in, and Derek appreciates my help.
"Like Scott?" Isaac questions
"Scott's with us" Derek reminds him.
"Really," Isaac glances around, "Then where is he now?"
"He's looking for Jackson," I say with gritted teeth, trying my best not to snap at Isaac. He looks to me with hardened eyes, obviously bitter about something. This surprises me. Isaac's never looked at me in a harsh manner, he must really dislike Scott.
"Don't worry, he's not going to have an easy night either," Derek reminds him, "None of us will"
"There's a price you pay for this kind of power. You get the ability to heal," Derek starts taking metal chains and contraptions out of the opened box, "But tonight you're gonna want to kill anything you can find"
