" And it looks like Hiccup is up to 8 points, leaving Fishlegs with 0, Snotlout 0, the twins 5, Eret 3, and Astrid 7!" yelled Gobber to the crowd of vikings. The Dragon Races where one of Berks favorite sports, and they play it very often. Gobber started to wave a black flag, the guy by a big dragon shaped horn saw that, and then sound the horn off. Hiccup and Toothless knew that could mean one thing, the black sheep which is worth 10 points. " Come on bud, we have a race to win." Hiccup said while petting Toothless. Gobber put the sheep in this big slingshot, " Have a nice flight." then let go. the sheep flew into the air then was quickly caught by Eret. " To victory Skullcrusher!" he yelled while holding the sheep above is head. Suddenly a deadly nadder swooped in and took the sheep right out of his hands. " I'll take that, thank you." Astrid teased. Astrid and Stormfly where in the lead of the others, and getting close to the finish line. Toothless was passing each rider one by one. Untill they where neck to neck with Stormfly. Toothless hit the sheep with his tail and made it fly out of Stromfly's talons. Hiccup caught it, and pass the finish line. " Hiccup and Toothless win the race with 18 points!!" Gobber yelled. Hiccup landed Toothless where the chief usually sits during the races. Astrid flew up to Hiccup, " You did good out there." Astrid had a smile on her when she said this. Hiccup smiled, he was going to reply to her. But before he could, a Loud BOOM came out of nowhere. Hiccup turned around to see a cloud of smoke rising up to the sky. It looks like it came from the forest. Hiccup thought to himself. The villagers started to panic, and so did the dragons (except Toothless). Toothless shot 3 plasma blasts into the air, everyone was quite after that. All eyes where on Hiccup, he took a deep breath then spoke. " Everyone! I want you all to go back to your homes with your dragons." Hiccup then turned his tension to Valka and Eret. " Eret, Mom, I want you two to get some other vikings and do a patrol around the village. We have to make sure that Berk isn't under attack." they both nodded and started getting men for the patrol. As the other vikings got their dragons and headed back to their homes, Tuffnut was waving his hands in the air while calling Hiccup. " HEY, HEY, HICCUP, HICCUP, HELLO, YELLING YOUR NAME HERE!" Hiccup put his hand on his face. " Yes Tuffnut?" Tuffnut then suddenly gave a bored look, " What are WE going to do?" Hiccup looked at the other dragon riders, he knew already what they needed to do. " We are going to see where that explosion came from." the gang agreed then saddled up on their dragons, and started to follow the smoke. It didn't that them long before they saw where the smoke was coming from. But as the gang got closer to the ground, the dragons quickly became alert. Something here the dragons didn't trust, and that wasn't good. When they finally landed, Hiccup was shocked by what he was seeing. Trees where covered by blood and claw marks, most of them were laying on the ground half burnt. The once green grass was stained with fresh blood. Fishlegs immediately started to observe the scratches. Snotlout and Astrid continued to gasp in horror at the scenery. While the twins where crying because they thought all that destruction was "beautiful". " Its...so...beautiful!........I...think I'm gonna...cry." Ruffnut sobbed happily, Tuffnut rubbed his nose against his hand. " Do you have a hanky?" he asked his sister."No,"Ruffut answered with a sniffle,"But I have a fist." Tuffnut sniffles again,"That'll do,"he said while whispering his nose on his hand again. Ruffnut then punched Tuffnut in the gut, which made him fall off Belch (his hideous zippleback head) hitting the ground hard. Hiccup slowly got off of Toothless, the nightfury gave him a worried little grunt. Hiccup started to catch Toothless in one of his favourite spots, to make Toothless feel better. Then something caught Hiccup's eye, behind Toothless was a long light brown dragon tail. " Hiccup! You would not believe how many types of dragons were here! They where thunder drums, changewings, monstrous nightmares, even a timberja...........!" Fishlegs stopped talking and stared at the dragon tail. Snotlout saw it too and got tense, " Who agrees with me that we should get out of here?" everyone gave snotlout the "really" look, even their dragons. " What, its not like i'm scared, I was born a warrior you know." Snotlout crossed his arms while saying that. Hiccup didn't really care if Snotlout was scared or not, that dragon must be in terrible pain right now. And Hiccup was going to help it no matter what it takes. Hiccup walked towards the tail. He look up to see a bloody, mangled, timberjack stretched across the ground. The timberjack was already long gone, its head and wings ripped off. This made Hiccup want to cry, the timberjack probably suffered a horrible death. "help..........help m-me." said a small weak voice. Hiccup started to follow the voice. So did Toothless, but he seemed to be a bit more desperate to find the voice then Hiccup. "Somebody........anybody......help please....please." the voice pleaded. Astrid began to wonder what was that noise. " Hey Hiccup, is Toothless ok? I can here him whining from here." she asked. Whining, what whining, all I'm hearing is someone begging for help. Hiccup thought to himself. He then heard a wrestling in the bushes. " Help.............plea-HUMAN!!!! GET AWAY PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE......I WANT TO LIVE!!" the voice screened. Toothless when up to the bush and began to sniff it. " PLEASE I'M SORRY......I'M SORRY!!!!!! I'LL NEVER SET CLAW ON THIS ISLAND AGAIN.......HONEST!!!!" The voice howled. Toothless backed up quickly when it screamed. " Whats going on, are you guys ok?" Astrid asked. The others decided to see where Hiccup and Toothless were. They did find them, but Hiccup didn't notice them because he was buried in his thoughts. Claw........human? What in Thor's name is it talking about? Whatever it is its not a invading viking. But if it not a viking, what is it? Hiccup walk closer to the bush and started to make out a little black and white dragon. Hiccup was surprised, a dragon was TALKING. He decided to keep this to himself, because he would probably sound crazier than the twins if he said this to anyone. " What are you doing?" Fishlegs asked, Hiccup look up to see the the gang was here. " Please let me go......I didn't do anything......I swear!" the dragon whined. Hiccup peered back at the bush, trying to see what type of dragon it was. Then he had a idea, " Dose anyone have dragon nip?" Everyone gave confusing looks, Ruffnut reached into her pocket, taking out dragon nip, and giving it to Hiccup. He then kneeled down, stretched out his hand with the nip, " Its ok, we don't want to hurt you." Hiccup said in a nice, calm, voice. A pair of silver eyes peered out of the bush, filled with pain and fear. The dragon began to sniff the dragon nip, "Green weed?" the dragon said with curiosity. It slowly stared to limp out of the bush. Hiccup's heart may have skipped a beat for a moment, because right in front of him was a female baby nightfury!
