'Well, here goes nothing!' thought Bella Woodbridge. she stepped through the double wooden doors, with shiny brass handles, leading into the library. 'Nothing at all.'
OPAL'S POV
'I've seen that girl!' Thought Opal Riverstone to herself. 'She's the girl that walked with us to detention!' She thought. Suddenly, the girl, with dark purple hair that was trailing behind her, looked Opal straight in the eye. Opal suddenly realised how green her eyes were. She felt as if the girl was looking deep int her soul... Finding out what was really in there. "Hey! Quit it!" Opal said to the girl, now right beside her.
"Sorry!!" She said. "I'm Bella, by the way. Bella Woodbridge." Bella continued. "I'm really sorry. I have a tendency to just stare people down, and well, with these eyes, who knows what could happen?" She giggled and then said, "You're Opal, right? Opal..." Bella said questioningly.
"Opal Riverstone." Opal said to her. "So! Bella, where are you from?" She asked.
"I'm from London." Bella said. "You can probably tell from my accent!"
"Oh, no! I meant which school are you from?" asked Opal. "School."
BELLA'S POV
"Oh! I'm from Crystal River Academy, in London!" said Bella. They chatted some more, about boys, life, magic, Harry Potter, secrets - and how to keep them, friends and the list goes on! After a while, a boy came up to them. "That's Jason. Wait no, Jus-Justin. Justin. Right. I sit next to him in potions class." Bella said, a bit uncertainly. Justin walked up to them.
"Hi Bella." Justin said, as cool as a cucumber. "How about this? You and me, a coffee downtown somewhere?" He asked.
"Ummmm... Sorry to break it to you, Justin, but I already have a boyfriend, so the answer is NO." Said Bella, with a mischievous glint in her bright emerald green eyes. Justin shook his head in embarrassment, his mouth wide open, in the shape of an 'O'.
"What?! Jason didn't tell me that! Well, I'll-- see you- 'round, Bella." He stammered.
Bella shook her head. "Boys these days." She said, shaking her head. Opal was giving her a weird look. "What?" she asked.
"Don't think you can say that you have a boyfriend and then get away with it!" said Opal. "So? What's his name? What does he look like? Is he nice? Is he half blood, half breed, pure blood or muggle? Is he a good kis-- What? Huh? Did anyone hear anything?" She said, looking slightly embarrassed at the last question.
Bella laughed. "His name is Adrian Valdron, he has chocolate coloured eyes and brown hair, he's really nice, he's pure blood, and yes." She smiled at Opal, with a cheeky glint in her eye.. Just then, Taylor Valdron came up to them.
"Excuse me, but I couldn't but help to overhear on your conversation." He said casually, as if using big words wasn't SUPER rare. "What is all this nonsense talk about Harry Potter, secrets, boys, friends and magic about? And most importantly, why were you talking about my brother?" The girls gave him puzzled looks. "My brother? Adrian Valdron?" He asked again. Bella laughed.
"I'm Bella Woodbridge." She said, standing up and holding out her hand for him to shake, smiling.
"Bella Woodbridge?" Taylor asked. "Who are you?" Opal stifled a giggle and Bella glared at her, fully knowing the power of it. That shut her up!
"Bella Woodbridge? You haven't heard of me? I'm your brother-- Adrian's girlfriend!" She said, still smiling.
"Bella? Is that you? That Bella Woodbridge? The one he talks about all the time?" he asked.
"I should hope so!" said Bella, her smile wavering. "I don't think he knows any other Bella Woodbridges!"
"Well, this has been exciting! Meeting my brother's girlfriend for the first time!" Said Tyler. "Wow! So much information for me to take in! I must go lie down. Well, it has been a pleasure meeting you, Bella!" He said, walking to the hammock outside.
Bella looked at Opal and they both burst into giggles. they were laughing so much, the librarian had to ask them to leave! After giggling some more, the girls said their goodbyes, and went their separate ways. Bella left, feeling like she had made her first friend here at Hogwarts. Relationships. Boys. Why so confusing?
