"So, did Alec get you pregnant yet."

I smack Matilda on the arm as we walk towards the cafeteria, causing her to fall sideways and scowl in pain. She bumps into a freshman scurrying past us. The freshman instantly apologizes, but Matilda takes the blame for it instead.

"Ow," she squeals. She shoots me a deadly glare, as she returns by my side. "What the hell was that for?"

"For being a rat," I answer without looking at her.  "He's gross."

"Yet you still decided to sit with him," Matilda argues. Her high auburn ponytail bounces flamboyantly behind her head, as she tries to catch up. Despite this school being limited to only New York's Elite with its $70k tuition, it still holds the population of a normal public high school. It's quite easy to get lost in the sea of students.

"I swear I didn't see him," I argue back.

Matilda snorts. "Of course you didn't. Yet when someone tries to steal your lunch, you suddenly grow eyes behind your head."

I roll my eyes.

"That's different," I say. "I actually want, to eat my lunch!"

Matilda glances at me with raised brows.

"Oh, please, you want to eat what Alec's serving more than you want to eat anything else. A taste of his fruit would basically grant you 9 more lives!"

I sigh and turn my head to face her as we near our destination. I examine her outfit thoroughly, and take notice of her new striped button up I assume she bought from Zara. It's vertical sky-blue stripes compliment Matilda's very "classy" personality.

"Hey cute shirt, did you get it from Zara?," I ask innocently

"Hey cute shirt, did you get it from Zara?," I ask innocently.

"Omg, yes how'd you know?"

"Is still has the price tag on it. Fifteen dollars? What a steal!"

Matilda gasps as if her lungs had just failed, and stops dead in her tracks in the middle of the hallway. I lose her in the sea of students, but then see her frantically running towards the women's bathroom as if her tampon was about to fall out. When you're exposed like that, you'd want to hide from the public too.

I cackle to myself, like an evil witch and continue walking. There was no price tag, I'm just a petty bitch who hates being teased. Especially if it's about Alec, who they all know gets me weak to my knees, but also annoys the hell out of me.

Also, everyone in school is too stuck up to admit they do sales. I genuinely don't see the problem behind it. But hey, whatever gets them going!

I begin to strut down the hallway, and reimagine myself as a model, walking for Karl Lagerfeld in New York Fashion week. But as I near the entrance doors to the cafeteria, a figure passes by the corner of my eye. They seemed to be staring behind me as I walked down the hallway, but I couldn't catch who it was due to vast amount of students. The only thing I remember was seeing the color green, and smelling a particular scent, almost like a cologne. But the thought immediately leaves my mind as soon as I spot my friends, all sprawled on the cafeteria table in hopes of claiming it for the rest of the year.
