"josh, i should have not gotten drunk." i slurred, on my way to getting wasted. "i love hanging out with you and stuff but i have to stop drinking with you."

"you had like two full beers and a couple shots, you're just a fucking lightweight." josh laughed at me.

"shut up, you jerk." i whined, falling over and resting my head in his lap. we sat there in silence as we watched random shitty youtubers on his tv. "hey
josh, do you like anyone?" i asked randomly. i honestly wanted to know the answer but at the same time i'd probably cry if it wasn't me.

"what?" he awkwardly chuckled in response as he moved uncomfortably under me. i clicked my tongue and sat up, rolling my eyes.

"you heard me, dipstick." i replied.

"yeah, i do." he smiled to himself, looking like all lovey dovey.

"who is it?" i asked, curious as to who is making my crush feel this way. "what does she look like?" he had a look on his face as if he was about to tell me something important but it dropped and was replaced with a goofy grin.

"i'm not gonna tell you." he laughed, playfully shoving me.

"why not, afraid i might not like her?" i teased.

"whatever, dakota." josh replied, biting the inside of cheek. "do you like someone?" he asked.

"yeah," i giggled like a middle-schooler. "he's pretty cute too." i laid down on my back, looking up at the dark ceiling. josh fell beside me so we were laying beside eachother. i turned to face him and we laid there, just looking at each others faces as if we were trying to memorize every detail. i watched joshs eyes trail to my lips and my heart skipped a beat.

"can i kiss you?" josh asked, his voice barely above a whisper. i nodded, not wanting my drunken words to ruin this moment. he moved forward and pushed his lips against mine. there was no cliche fireworks but my face was burning and my heart was beating so fast.

i kissed back, making the kiss more passionate until we were sharing a heated makeout. i moved so i was straddling his waist, his hands moving up and down my body as my hands gently grabbed his face. i moved down to kiss along his jaw and neck, leaving marks where i wanted. suddenly my arms were grabbed and i was gently pushed away from his neck.

"did i do something wrong?" i asked in embarassment, getting off his lap to stand up.

"no, no, not at all, dakota. that was actually fucking great," josh weakly laughed to himself "it's just- we're both drunk and i don't want to do something we'll end up regretting."

"oh, um, y-yeah." i nodded. "i'm gonna go home." i pointed to the front door, moving towards it while gathering up my stuff.

"no, don't go. c'mon, dakota, you're drunk and i don't want you walking at night by yourself so just stay. you can have my bed." josh stopped me before i could walk through the door. i stood there thinking over my options. i could leave now and get out of this akward mess but risk getting murdered or abducted, or stay and sleep in joshs comfortable bed.

"fine, i'll stay." i sighed, putting my stuff down again.

"good." he let out a breath of relief. we walked to his bedroom and he helped me into bed. "remember bathrooms that way and i'll be in the livingroom." josh restated, getting up to leave.

"wait," i said, grabbing his hand. "can you lay with me please?" josh looked at me with hesitation before getting into the bed beside me. i rolled over to put my head on his shoulder as i shut my eyes.

"night, kota." josh yawned, making me yawn too.

"night, josh." i mumbled before falling asleep.
