Relife: After Story

Report 1: First Day

(Takaomi's point of view)
I stare at the pill on my desk, wishing I didn't have to feel this way. Millions of emotions run through my brain, worry, guilt, regret. That wasn't even half of it. I signed up for Relife, some crazy experiment that would change you back as a high school kid for a year. Who would want to go to school everyday? The only upside I see here is the referal given by this company. If I could get a better job, I'd be able to help support my brother in his studies. He wouldn't have to worry about me anymore if that was the case for me.
Pushing aside all thoughts, I take the pill, and swallow it with water. A rush of drowsiness falls over me, and I feel myself sink into the warm mattress in my room. What was this thing doing to me?...

"Takaomi-san. Wake up." I hear a familiar voice say, and jump. It was Kaizaki Arata, the man who came to me just yesterday to offer up a Relife. Wait, how did he get in? "Did Kazuomi let you in?!? Will he-" "He won't find out. We've convinced him that you're going to be 'renovating' the house for awhile." I stand in silence for a moment, thinking of the many ways this experiment could get me in trouble. If Kazu caught me, I'd be in for it. Most certainly! "Takaomi-san, I've brought the uniforms and school supplies. You'll also be required to read this handbook..."
I grabbed the pamphlet, and looked at the many rules and regulations that I'd have to follow, like no smoking, no drinking, etc. How many rules were there?! It seemed endless, like a hunger that isn't satisfied. I look at the uniform Kaizaki-san has on, which consisted of a blue blazer, beige vest, grey pants, and a red tie (A/N: It's the uniform in the picture). How was such an old man pulling off the look? "Takaomi? We should get going. The entrance ceremony starts in 20 minutes."
I shot up from my sitting position, and glance at the clock. "You should have told me sooner! What if I'm late?!?" "That's going to be your fault. I hope to see you around school!~" Kaizaki-san leaves my house, and I struggled to slip my uniform on. Screw him! Leaving me all by myself, how am I supposed to even get to this area?!?
After what felt like hours of walking around, I reached the high school. "HOLY SHIT THIS IS A RICH KIDS SCHOOL!" I read the nameplate on the stone wall, 'Oakridge High'. People stare at me oddly, as if I'm a foreigner. "Yeah, no shit sherlock." A boy around my age, glares at me, with emo looking eyes. "Um.." "What? Didn't you read the handbook? Dumbass." I flinch a little, embarrassed that a teenager called me out on my stupidity. He walks away with his gaming device, not caring about his surroundings. He'd definitely be off my 'list of potential friends'. I walk onto Oakridge High, stepping onto the well paved path. It was such a great campus, with lots of trees for shade, a modern looking building, and most importantly, lots of teenagers! I felt like a trespasser, surrounded by people who were younger than me. Even so, this school looked expensive to attend, and it was much different than Aoba High, by a mile.
"Takaomi-san? Hey there." I look in shock, seeing Kaizaki-san stand beside me, as a teen. "Kaizaki-san? I thought you were old!" He chuckles, and smiles at me. "Well, would you take a high school kid seriously? Especially if your brother is quite protective of you?" "True, but why are you here? I can take care of myself just fine." "Takaomi-san, you barely eat, or get any sleep. I don't feel like you'd be alright by yourself. Also, I'm required to observe any of your actions, as part of my job. Even listen in on all conversations you have." I shiver a bit, feeling uncomfortable that he'd be observing me closely. So he heard the conversation with the brat from earlier? Crap. "Also, Takaomi-san should be more careful in his word choice. If he wants to make friends, he should open up more." "Shut up old man!"
