I shrugged it off after a while of thinking in the bathroom, it has to be some sort of damn prank, this school was littered with damn pranksters. I wish I didn't cheat on that massive test, I'm only 15. I wish I didn't have to skip a grade, I wish I was home. I wish I knew where my fucking father is! Ugh, I ambled out the bathroom and sat back down in the class room. However, it just kept replaying in my mind.
"how did this ass clown know my name?? That's so fucking GAY!!"
The teacher was able to calm the students. She began to speak.
"It's alright class, the board said it was just a technical glitch in the system, it uh. Was suppose to be met for a new scary movie that is coming out.."That's when I had to speak, I knew it had to be more than that shitty response.
"Then why did it know my last name..?"
My teacher choked up and scratched the back of her head. Her face flushed pink not quiet knowing the answer to that."There is a different Ortiz, it's fine Carmelo."
I shrugged not really giving a shit anymore, I laid my head on the desk as she began to teach the class. Once the bell rang I stood up and walked towards the bathroom. I leaned against the wall and began searching through my phone for something to do, then all of a sudden, this boy walked in. He was about 5'7 and looked about the same strength as me. He looked at me and nodded and I nodded back. He had soft brown hair with brown eyes. He was wearing a white t shirt and black cargo pants and black Tim's. He cracked his neck lightly and spoke."Hey, I haven't seen you around before, what's your name..?"
"Me..? I'm Carmelo, but please call me Mel.."
"Well Mel, I'm Zach, pleasure to meet you."
"As to you.."We both lightly smiled as he washed his hands and walked out the bathroom. Once he walked out I stayed, I stayed for the whole day just searching the web at cool outfits. I always wanted a assassin hoodie; or even a batsuit. Yenno, like Batman?
Once the bell rang for the end of the day I jogged to my locker; trying my hardest to beat the mob of kids about to flock towards the exit. I made it In time and typed in my combo. I stuffed all my books in my backpack and slung it over my left shoulder blade. I turned my head to the left and groaned seeing the mob of kids already crowding the hall way. I decided to just sit down and wait for them to pass, what was 4 minutes felt like 4 hours. I stood up dusting the dust off my ass. That's when I saw her, I saw Lizzy drinking from the water fountain. I needed to talk to her.
I coughed into my left forearm and ambled towards her. I gently tapped her right shoulder with my index finger. She stood up and wiped her lips with her right sleeve and smiled.
"Hey Carmelo! H-how are you?"
"I'm doing pretty good, yourself?"
"Pretty good. You heard about the strange broadcast? Some guy named dark."
"Pretty gay name if you ask me. I think it's all fake, probably just a set up."
"How could you be so sure?"
"I just..have a feeling yenno?"She titled her head at me, she placed her index finger on her pink bottom lip and pondered for a second.
"I guess..we'll, I gotta go! Great chatting with you!"
"O..oh ok, yeah, it was great!"
She smiled and patted my head before walking away. Her skirt would flap ever so lightly as her shoes clicked against the stone floor. Once she was out of sight; I began to head towards the exit. I got outside and the blazing sun hit my face. The nice warmth of the sun actually made a smile peer on my face. I began to head back home, a long boring walk, so. Like every average teenager I put on my apple headphones and began to listen to music as I walked, the music was taking me home as I was lost in the beat. Once I made it home. I rung the bell, my sister would open the door and scoff as she was texting on her phone. "Hurry up and get inside. Moms making dinner."I scurried inside dashing towards the kitchen wanting to see what my mother cooked. She was standing there stirring beans in a pot; I took a whiff and was able to tell exactly what she was making, her famous rice and beans. I always preferred the black beans so once I got the whiff of the scent. I automatically knew what it was. My sister sat next to me texting off the hook, her phone was blowing up with: snapchats, instagram, Twitter, and musically. It was just so damn frustrating she could never get off the phone. That's when I heard the door close from the deck.
My six foot giant step father would walk inside the house, you can tell this was a night where he wouldn't talk much. Only because he's drained from his job. He sluggishly walked into the kitchen and chatted with my mother; the simple conversation.
"Hi honey! How was work?"
"Boring..exhausting. Jimmy broke his arm again."
"Again? Damn he's really accident prone."
"Yeah, I know."I groaned listing to this stupid conversation, I just wanted to eat. Once she placed my food in front of me I couldn't help but begin to eat, the flatter of my fork hitting against the plate made me cringe. After my meal I ran upstairs and jumped on my bed and laid in it. I yawned and was so tired from this shitty day I was ready to sleep. But...I felt like I was being watched. I sat up and looked to the left where my window is located. I saw a man..dressed in all black clothing and a skull in the middle of his shirt. The skull was blood red and the man had some crossing on his left peck. Now it was only 6:22pm so the sun was slowly setting, I opened my window and shouted.
"Hey!! Get the fuck off our property!"
He just stared at me in complete silence, I'm not gonna lie it sent goose bumps down my spine. That's when I saw him crouch down and grab something out his left boot. It was...some letter. He left it there and slowly began to walk off.
After about 30 minutes, I got the balls to head outside to the exact spot where he was on. Once I made it to the spot I saw the letter..It had a dark skull in the middle of the envelope. I crouched down and lifted it up slowly...
