I walk with the cold air blowing on my face. I still think of who's car that could be.
I open the door for Denise and she says "o look at you a gentleman, well thank you." Another door comes up I tell her "wait, after you madam" as I wave my hand swiftly.
We go up to the register to pay for a wristband and the stupid socks we got to buy. I go in my pocket to whip out a fifty dollar bill. When I look up I see a face that could be my demise. The face I seen was Vicky, Alesha's cousin
Vicky hated me, mostly because she wanted me to be with her instead of Alesha and I choose Alesha.
I hear " o hello Jullian how can I help you and your temporary toy."
I told her " first off don't call me that, secondly never disrespect me or anyone I'm with again and thirdly I like that color purple on you it makes your broke ness pop."
She said to me " o my bad "JuJu", so how's you and my cousin yanno your girlfriend ?"
I say "Vicky she already knows, can we just get our shit and go in the park.
She says in a white voice " well Mr.JuJu sir see our register is down and with you being 15 and all you would have to fill out a liability form and I'm afraid you don't have a parental guardian with you, so I don't believe that you can get your shit and go in. Have a nice day "
As me and Denise walk out I hear " O and my cousin is gonna find out about this." I twist my body around and walk backwards while doing that I stick up my middle finger and turn back around.
Denise the whole Time was silent didn't say a word, so when we got in the car I didn't know what to expect.
Denise looked at me in the eyes I looked back at her. She says " that was funny what's the story behind that ?"
I replied to her as she gave me a kiss "ion even wanna talk bout it rite now."
I tell her "let's go back to your crib ." She says "ight" and starts to drive. I lay the seat back and start to fall asleep.
Five minutes goes past and I fell a little jerk. Then I start to reply the events of my moms death in my mind. I see her laying there bloody without a pulse all over again.
Then I snap out of the nightmare breathing hard ,looking around ,sweating.
Denise looks at me and says " damn Ju you good?"
I look at her and start seeing slight glimpses of my mother instead of her. I say "yea I'm straight it was a bad dream that's all."
I Grab my book bag from the backseat and reach to grab the pill bottle. I pick up one of the small yellow bars and swallow it.
We pull in the driveway and get out the car. I run around the corner to see what NoNo is doing, he should be out of school.
I knock on his front door and there's NoNo opening the door he says " hurry up bra I got fortnite crackin down here."
I tell him "fuck that fortnite shit throw in 2k so I can scrape you."
He says " Ight hold up lemme get this dub."
I start to tell him about everything that happened today. "Ay NoNo bra you won't believe what happened today bra."
I hear two voices one was NoNos that said "what happened." The other was someone at the front door "hello Mrs I'm looking for NoNo Cortez and Jullian Santiago do you know where I can find them ?"
