Chapter dedicated to Black Books, which is where I rip all of my jokes from.
Good evening everybody if you've come for an easy read to here you've come to the wrong place as this is the second book in the Weirdness and Wendip series so if you haven't already go off and read that before attempting this. However for the truly insane among you who won't heed this advice a brief summary of what happened in the first book is below. This will also double as a reminder or memory refresh for the lucky ones who have already read book one. If you don't want book one spoiled stop reading now. As another reminder please get involved in the comments, having a dialogue with the reader is so important online and its great fun. I don't bite. So make a joke, provide some criticism or some praise and if you really liked it leave a vote.
Key events of book 1)
It is established that Mabel and Dipper are to stay in Gravity Falls for an extra month. (Weirdmageddon triggers this)
Mabel apologises to Dipper for being one of the direct causes of it and thanks him and Wendy for rescuing her from her bubble prison.
Dipper is to help Ford with his research in this month period.
During this Wendy falls through one of the last Weirdness bubbles forcing Dipper and Ford to go in after her.
Mabel is left behind with Soos and Stan in Gravity Falls. Due to some weird phenomena they make a new friend called Beaky. A four foot tall duck with an English accent. He is caring and rather odd.
Wendy, Dipper and Ford meet a version of Bill who is imprisoned in this bubble without any of his powers. They make a deal with him so that he'll help them escape.
During these events Beaky is captured by an enormous Draco, a winged lizard. Stan, Soos and Mabel journey to an abandoned train station to find him. Once they find him and make their escape the Draco crashes into Stan's car.
Inside the bubble Dipper pulls Wendy free from what is essentially quicksand.
Wendy and Dipper are split up from Ford in what is a potentially universe ending event. Wendy lets go of her tough outer exterior and the two of them cuddle. Not in a romantic way but they both believe this is the end.
The universe does not actually end and during the final few minutes before they leave the bubble Dipper almost reiterates his feelings to Wendy again.
For Dipper to leave the bubble Beaky must travel back into it. Hence a teary goodbye between Mabel and Beaky.
Once escaped Wendy kisses Dipper on the cheek, however Bill is currently in control of Dipper, after a chase and a tense stand off Bill is rolled back into the bubble and Dipper is fine.
They celebrate and leave off towards the shack.
The next day it is revealed that Beaky was able to leave the bubble once again when Bill returned to it. It's a nice reunion.
Wendy and Dipper almost start an important conversation between the two of them when Stan interrupts.
Waddles doesn't do that much but is rather comical throughout the first half of the book.
Gompers doesn't feature.
