A Set Up Chapter

Chapter dedicated to Dave. It's great to meet new people. Mabel's point of view.

"Jeez, Mabel get off me already." I jumped on Stan as he was sitting down to watch Ducktective with Soos and Beaky.

"Sorry Stan, I'm just annoyed we can't keep track of Wendy and Dippers' movie night." This was true, and since Beaky having received one makeover today didn't require another, we'd effectively run out of things to do for the evening.

"Yes Stan, they are my new OTP." Candy whispered quietly.

"I Just want to smoosh them together." Grenda roared. 

"Kids, just let them two be and watch Ducktective or better yet go annoy Ford." He shooed us out of the room as he slumped back down into his chair. I entered the code into the vending machine and we went down into the basement. I gasped, the room was covered with wires, trailing down the walls and across the floors. Candy took two steps into the mess before being entangled in wires, Grenda quickly freed her. I giggled.

"Hey Candy, watt are you doing down there? Wooooooah. Hey what's this?" On Ford's desk was a photocopy of what must have been a page of one of the journals. I picked up the page. "Hey Candy you're the smart one right, have a look at this." Candy pushed her way through the wires and moved her glasses up over her nose.

"It appears to be a floor plan of quite a large area. Definitely outside as there's no doors. Perhaps a sun dial judging by the large circle on the floor and how the position of the sun is marked in the top left corner." I chased Waddles through the technological mess and he squealed.

"But Candy, what does it mean?" Cried Grenda.

"I'm not sure, but the mess in here would indicate this is where Ford has gone this evening and it must be pretty important." She exclaimed.
