Chapter One: Wait, so I'm not born as a normal human in a normal human way?!

Percy opened his eyes to a multitude of different colours and shades, all blending in to make a beautiful swirl of colour. He didn't feel blinded as he expected, he felt comfortable surrounded by the soft material that owned these petals.

He moved around within the space, finding that his body had shrunk immensely. The space was nevertheless comfortable, very suitable for his new baby body. Lying back down, Percy yawned and went to sleep.

Against his sensitive eyes — which for the most part had been encased in darkness till now  — the light was blinding. He felt warm, soft sunshine sprinkled on his body, a gentle breeze sending the lightest shivers down his spine, a tingling feeling which forced him to open his little eyes.

In his view came a large face belonging to a pretty woman. She had long strands of multi-coloured hair, all healthy and shimmering under the morning sun. Her crystal blue eyes sparkled with joy as she stared down at the little Percy. Tilting his head up further, Percy noticed the bright white horn placed on her upper forehead, a gold circlet twirling around it and the rest of her head.

This woman... This woman was a unicorn?!

He felt this strange woman petting his forehead, cooing softly. Percy though — maybe he was a unicorn too! If this woman was his mother, then that would mean he's also a unicorn! How great! How amazing!

"My sweet little fawn, how cute you are! Oh wait, that's a perfect name — Fawn! From now on little one, you will be known as Fawn Brier Woodland!" F-Fawn? Is this woman stupid?! How can this young master be known as Fawn Woodland? Embarrassment! Stupid woman! Dumb blondes, what dumb blondes?! There are only dumb rainbows now! Hmph!

The stupid rainbow put him down, stepping back. "Come on little Fawn, stand up on your four cute little legs!" She urged.

'Four legs, why the hell would I have four legs? Wait... This can't be what I think it is... Please tell me it's not what I think it is!'

"I believe in you Fawn! Stand up for mummy!" Percy — now having the extremely humiliating name of 'Fawn' — looked down and saw he really did have four, furry brown spindly legs.

'What the hell?! I know I asked for legs but did you have to make me a goddamn deer! Did you have to give me an additional two legs?! Why... Why?! I can't have anything I really want in any life... My sister isn't even here and now I'm a f*cking animal! This is all bullsh*t! These stupid heavenly beings are useless! No, I will live a good life — even if I have to be some fluffy deer for the rest of my life! I will become the best goddamn deer!'

With a newfound determination, Fawn (Percy will be known as Fawn from now on) attempted to stand up on his four furry legs. He was somewhat glad that he wasn't accustomed to walking on two legs — learning to adapt from two to four would be much harder than just learning to walk on four.

Had he not been involved in the accident when he was younger, Fawn was sure that he would have struggled even more. This was one of the times he was partially thankful for what happened to him during his past life.

The woman clapped as she saw the determined fawn stand up on all four, weak twig legs. "Go my little baby! Mummy is so proud of you, already standing!!! What a strong baby, you will surely be the most powerful and strongest deer in the future!" Hmph, of course, this Young Master will be the strongest! Nothing will be more majestic than this Young Master!

Seeing the little fawn's absolute arrogance, the rainbow-haired woman chuckled — she already loved the little thing. Who cares about her actual son, this little fawn was cuter and suited her aesthetic tastes more! Much better than her handsome, good-for-nothing son! Her son wasn't even cute anymore, at least Fawn would remain cute throughout his lifetime!

It took a few hours but eventually Fawn was able to stand with ease; walk even.

His dearest 'mummy' clapped and squealed, picking him up and spinning the little fawn around with her. She then carried him to a beautiful, large home on the side of a waterfall which overlooked the green rolling hills below. From what Fawn could see, there were quite a few servants and maids scurrying about, ten or so gardeners tending to the blossoming flowers and three maids sweeping the veranda.

When the rainbow woman and Fawn passed them, they each bowed and greeted her with a 'Good afternoon, My Lady,' and the oldest of them all — a thin and kind-looking old man who appeared to be the head gardener — even stared at Fawn with a sparkle in his eyes and said: "I see the young one has been born, you must be very happy My Lady! Let me take tea with the two little ones some time, promise?"

The rainbow woman — now dubbed 'My Lady' — nodded with a graceful smile on her face. "Of course dear Ralph, I'm sure Strom and Fawn would be absolutely delighted!"

'Strom? Who is this Strom? What a stupid name he has!'

Seems that Fawn had forgotten his own name...

I can't promise any updates soon... Something bad has happened. If you're my follower and have your notifications on, you would have seen what I put out. Unfortunately, I can not promise any sudden influx of updates (that's what generally happens when I first publish a book) due to this.

If you are not a follower and do not wish to click my profile, do not bother to check because I will say it here:

At school, we were told that a girl at my school committed suicide. From what we are aware (though I can't be sure this information is 100% correct), she jumped in front of a train and ended her life.

I just need time to digest this and right now, I'm waiting for it to really hit me. I nearly burst out into tears even telling my mum about it... So I'll probably not be updating very often for a while... I'll try but there are no promises.

Sorry and thank you for understanding...
