I don't even know what I was doing with this one and it's kind of really short, but I haven't written anything in ages, so this is my way of trying to ease back into the writing process. Either way, I hope you like it.

"Do you ever wonder what you'd be doing now if we hadn't been put in this band?" I asked of Liam as we lay on the grass of the park that was only a five minute walk from the hotel we were currently staying at. We were stargazing and since it was going on one in the morning, we felt safe in the knowledge that no one would see us.

"Babe, do I have to remind you how many times we've been asked that question in the last four years?" Liam asked back, laughing lightly and turning his head so he was facing me.

"No, I mean, like...... I know we all had vague plans for what we'd like to have do but do you ever think about what we'd actually be doing?" I clarified, continuing to watch the stars. This was something I'd been thinking about a lot lately; mostly because it was coming up to mine and Liam's one year anniversary and I was feeling nostalgic.

"Can't say I have." Liam replied, rolling onto his side and tucking his hands under his head as he examined me. "What do you think you'd be doing if none of this had ever happened?"

"I dunno. I guess I'd be in Uni, but I didn't even do my Leaving, so I've no idea where I'd be. I mighta got my first choice but I coulda had to repeat, either." I mumbled, because that had been a very real fear for pretty much everyone coming up to the Leaving Cert, which was something I definitely didn't mind having missed.

"I like to believe we'd still of met." Liam mused, smiling slightly when I turned my head to look at him before he kissed me quickly.

"Yeah?" I whispered against Liam's lips, laughing soundlessly when he kissed me again.

" 'Course. If people really do have soul mates who they're, you know, destined to meet, we'd of definitely met." Liam grinned, making me roll my eyes. If that wasn't the cheesiest thing I've ever heard, I don't know what was.

"Alright, Casanova." I laughed, punching his shoulder but curling into his side all the same. "What d'you s'ppose you'd be doing if not this?"

"Uni too, I guess. Mighta started working with my Dad already." Liam answered, running his fingers up and down my back while I pulled at his other hand that was resting on his stomach. "D'you think we'd of met the other lads if not for this?"

"I don't see how we would have." I sighed after a slight hesitation, not liking where this was going at all. I honestly couldn't imagine my life without any of the lads. "It'd be pretty weird if we met, even with your soul mate stuff."

"Yeah, I guess......." Liam sighed heavily, before be suddenly perked up and clasped my fingers in his. "Good thing we're here then. I wouldn't even be the person I am today without you lads. And the fans, of course."

"I think that's enough 'what if's for one night." I mumbled, tucking my face into the crook of Liam's neck while trying to forget that it was one in the morning and we would probably be caught on our way back if we stayed out here for much longer.

"We should probably head back now; before someone realizes we're gone and raises all the alarms." Liam mumbled, sitting up and taking me with him while I sighed. Lacing his fingers through mine after we'd stood up, Liam grinned at me and led the way out of the park; "Don't worry, tomorrow we've got a free day, so we can sleep in and spend the whole day cuddling."

"That's sounds perfect." I sighed, swinging out linked fingers between us, then bumping my should into Liam's with a laugh. The next day, sleep in and cuddle was exactly what we did, until about two o'clock when we got up to eat and got roped into a Just Dance battle with the others.
