I look at Marella with a warning gaze, sort of trying to let her know that if she burns down Everglen, the Council would One: Know she's a Pyrokinetic, and Two: Stalk her in and out of her bedroom with guards making sure she doesn't scorch the Lost Cities. She dissipates the fire. "Can I talk to you for a moment?"

Marella nods.

I lower my voice. "I need to show you something...someone." I lead Marella out of Everglen before light leaping to Havenfield. "I can never find a way to tell you guys this, but... I think you'll have a way."

I take Marella into my house. "Eda--Mom?"

"Yes?"

"I'm going to show Marella... You know."

"Okay, but quickly." Edaline gets a faraway look in her eyes--Just as I fear, she's having flashbacks.

I show Marella around the house to Jolie's old room. Except there's a new girl sitting on the bed, a girl that I've kept a secret from my friends for ten years.

In Jolie's old room is a girl, almost eleven years old. She has golden-brown hair and light blue eyes.

Most of the stuff in the room looks human--Especially her Imparter, which looks uncannily like a phone. Especially the apps and games she's playing on as I walk into the room. In fact, almost all her stuff indicates that she's been in the Forbidden Cities.

"Marella? I would like you to meet my younger sister, Kaviatha Ruewen." It feels like such a weight off of my chest.

"Why does everything look--"

"Hey, Marella," Kaviatha says. "This is my bedroom... Yeah, so, it all looks human. It's a very classified mission in the Forbidden Cities. I have to disguise my stuff when I'm there, so... Yeah."

Marella doesn't look like she believes half of it. But it is time to tell them all.
