I'm really excited for school to start. I want to see Kathlynn! Guess what Kathy told me?

Kathy told me she was texting her, and learned she was an elf and a Vanisher.

At first I didn't believe her, but now, as I sit in my family's car with my dad on the way to school, I think about it. I'll ask her to vanish her hand, I think to myself. That way I'll know that it's real.

When I get into the cafeteria, I head straight to our normal spot. It's already time to go by the time I sit down, so we just get up and start walking.

I ask her if it is true on the way to lunch that day. She speeds up, and I know that the answer is, "Yes, I'm a Vanisher." Grabbing her arm, I tell her I won't believe her unless she Vanishes.

"In the heart of the Forbidden Cities?" She says. "Are you crazy?"

"I'm not sure I'll really be able to believe you, then..." I say. She just tells me she's fine with that. I beg her to bring something in tomorrow.

She promises to bring her leaping ring.

So my not-trusting-her method isn't working... but at least I'll get to see her leaping crystal. Hastily, she explains how Dex and Biana made a bunch of jewelry that keeps her in contact with the Lost Cities.

Do I believe her?

Um... maybe. I probably actually... do.

She seems so sure of everything she says, no hesitations unless she believes that it isn't safe to tell us.
