{This is a poem I wrote for ELA. Its crappy, I know, but I had to think of something and to me I feel like it works in a way. Enjoy. Also I'm sorry if I post consistently then not at all. I'm still in highschool so life conflicts with my sharing}

Hope can be a torch in the darkest of tunnels.

It could be the raft that keeps you afloat and alive during the harsh seas of life.

But it could also be the alcohol that stings your wound.

It may also be the dark hallway that leads to a brightly lit room.

No one at first may believe that hope is there for them, but hope already knows that.

Hope knows that one day you'll turn to them for help, and they will give it to you.

But they also give you a choice.

Will you take their help and cover up the badness without dealing with it? Or will you partner with hope, and you both can work through the obstacles of life?

Everyone has different definitions of hope, but mine is that hope is a person willing to help. But only if you're willing to help yourself.

Hope is the one thing you can turn to for help.

Hope is the only person who gives you a choice when there seems like none.

Hope will drive you to success, but will show you that success isn't easy.

Hope may seem to be a burden, and they will sometimes show you that's true.

But if you truly think and wonder what hope is really about, What does hope mean to you?
