I heard alarms and people shouting, I felt sticks and leaves crackle under my boots, as a bright light shone all over these woods. Would they find me? I was running and panting as hard as I could. I tripped and everything went white.Let's start at the beginning shall we?

"Zia, could you not touch the glassware box? I want myself to handle that one, in case it breaks," I moaned at my mother. "You can take the linen box!" I walked out to the moving van and grabbed the linen box, just like my mother said. After I placed the box in the under-stair storage, I plugged in my earphones and went skateboarding.I heard some kids yelling out, so I figured I was getting closer to the local high school. I saw the flags flying at half mast and wondered what has happened lately.I rolled into the foyer of the school and read a sign 'Wolfhaven High School has been targeted in the latest attack...' I was approached by a guy, about my age, but a little bit taller. He sighed, "The monsters are evolving. They're getting smarter and targeting teenagers," I looked into his brown eyes and saw a glint of red, "Oh sorry, I'm Graysen Hunt, leader of the..um," he coughed, "school." I nodded to acknowledge his position, "And you are?"I dipped my head, "Nobody...I'm nobody." Graysen looked at me, "You are new. I can smell it, stench of country all over you, will you be attending Wolfhaven?" His eyes flicked back and forth."Well it's the only high school in the area, so I guess so, I think I start tomorrow..."Graysen nodded and walked away, probably to the administration desk just in the front. I heard a fire alarm sounding bell go and thought to myself, I'd never get used to that. Two seconds later, stampedes of teenagers came rushing in, and someone pushed me over."Excuse me! I have never experienced such ill-mannered--" I started to shout and realised everyone turned to look at me.A guy, taller than Graysen, looked at me, he turned his head and shouted out to into the halls and stairwells, "This petty little woman has 'never experienced such ill-mannered' people before?" He turned to his supposed friend, who was staring at me in awe, and yelled out once more, "We'll just have to make sure she understands how we run this place!" He stepped up to me and smelt me. I heard a door click and hoped it was a teacher or someone of similar authority. I looked over, Graysen?"Get to class you fleabags!" He yelled and most of the school left, only Graysen, the kid and I remained. Graysen looked at the kid, "Kevin, leave. NOW." Kevin reluctantly took a step back and said, "Okay, you win, country girl..." And he barged past me. After everyone left, Graysen and I were face-to-face. "Hey, you never told me your name, what's it?" He gave the friendliest smile by a mile, almost like my dad's. Graysen gestured me to the office and we walked in together."I'm Zia, from the country, as you and Kevin had noticed...what's wrong with me being from the country?" Graysen didn't answer, but he called over the lady in the red coat and she called the principal. We waited for two minutes and the principal walked out. I asked Graysen what we were doing and he simply said, "Induction."
