We got home and Helen was surprised we "got an early mark." We trekked up the stairs and into Graysen's room, laughing and crying. He flipped me onto his bed and laid down beside me. "Hey...Zia?" Graysen said with a hint of concern. "Remember yesterday?" He asked me."How could I not?" I said, slightly annoyed, but I wanted to know what he was going to say."Well you skated into school, listening to 'Immortals' by Fall Out Boy and stared at the headlines. Your hair was in your face, your beautiful black hair. Your blue eyes reflected in the glass like it was a mirror." He paused, "You didn't notice me staring at you from afar until I walked up to you," he sighed."You stared at me? What, like in disgust?" I asked him, "Wait, how'd you know I was listening to 'Immortals'?" He turned his head and grabbed my hand."Wanna go to the forest tomorrow?" I removed my hand from his grip and had a stern look."Tell me, why were you staring at me and how'd you know I was listening to that song?" He pretended to be asleep, so I thought to snoop around his room for real this time. "So, what's the dog's name?"Graysen sat up. "I stared at you because you were beautiful..." He looked out the window, "And the dog doesn't have a name, but tomorrow night, I'll explain everything," he finally said.I sat back on the bed and felt my eyelids dropping, so I let them and I fell into a deep sleep. The next morning, I could smell dog, so I went to find Graysen, who disappeared again last night. I found him making breakfast. "Morning Zia!" He shouted over the sizzling food, "You like bacon and eggs?" He asked excitedly. I shook my head. I haven't ever eaten bacon or eggs in my life, even though I used to live in the countryside on a farm bought buy Chinese investors. Graysen's face drooped after I admitted that I hated bacon and eggs. So I just poured myself a glass of milk and sat at the table, watching him dance. "Am I supposed to feel that you're my brother or just a cute guy I live with?" He instantly stopped dancing and turned around, sat in front of me and smiled."Cute?" He smirked, "What do you mean 'cute'?" I sat back and burped, holding my hands in my face."My breath stinks, be right back," I walked up the steps, nearly tripping over the top one because I heard Graysen behind me.I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and Graysen followed, started to copy me and stared at me the whole time. I finally turned around and stared into his eyes, "You right there?" I asked sarcastically. He nodded and I felt an arm around my waist. "You know, soon my parents will want to re-arrange the sleeping plan," Graysen smirked at me.I thought he was really immature. His smirk reminded me of my dad, his eyes did too, in fact, everything did."You know, you could just control yourself," I said back to him, and he thought long and hard until he clicked."There's a 7/11 down the road," he said with a little kid tone, "You wanna go~?" His voice drifted off as he walked downstairs. It was only Wednesday, and it didn't look like we were going to school. It wasn't wagging was it? Ah-well, what can you do? If it is, then it is.We grabbed a water bottle and wrote the slogans that 7/11 have on theirs, so we only paid $1. We strutted along the empty footpaths and I asked Graysen why we were going to the forest tonight. He simply said "You'll see." and kept walking. I really wanted to see, maybe it was a romantic date? No, too early and Graysen isn't like that.We walked into the servo and went straight to the slurpees. I filled my bottle to the brim of Sprite and Mountain Dew flavour. Graysen liked the lychee flavour. We paid for five fills each, so I filled mine up. We spent a couple of hours at 7/11 and decided to go sweat the sugar off. We arrived at Flipout and paid, "How many hours Zia?" Graysen asked me. I held up three fingers.Graysen held out a card, "Isn't that Helen's?" I gasped, Graysen nodded and held a finger at his mouth, "Bad boy!" We took off our shoes and went downstairs to the trampolines. I did a few bounces and stopped because Graysen showed off, doing flips of all sorts, making me laugh. Eminem's 'Lose Yourself' came on the radio and I started rapping to it, I heard Graysen rapping too. I was picked up bridal style by someone and got thrown in the foam pit. "Hey! Not fair!" I yelled as the foam cubes suffocated me and I heard Graysen shout and he jumped in, right next to me. "You were meant to help me out!" "Was I?" He smirked. We kept crawling out of the foam pit, throwing each other back in and singing to the songs.Three hours passed and it was two in the afternoon already, "When can we go to the forest? And why are we going?" I asked again."We go at nine, you'll see what it is once we get there. I promise."
