The New Kid

Monday

I walked to my locker grabbed my books and headed to class hoping Jack wouldn't see me. I wore a different style of clothes so he wouldn't notice me.

It's lunch time Jack hasn't noticed me all day thank god. I walked into the lunch line I kept my head down hoping no one would see me. "Hey Kai!" Someone jumped behind me managing to scare the living shit out of me. I screamed. I looked behind me to see my best friend Piper. "Would you-" "Keep it down?" "Yes!" "I know you do this." She waved her hand up and down saying that I dress like how im dress like right now. "To hide from who knows what. So what happened? Tell me everything." She grabbed my hands and smiled so big that her smiled could run away. "Well you see." I said very high pitchy. "What happened?" She got serious. I paid for my lunch. Then Piper and I walked and talked. "Okay first can we not sit with everyone today?" "Yeah sure." We walked over to the nearest empty table and I told her everything. "Kai what the fuck!" She yelled so loud where everyone's heads turned at us. "Would you shh." I whispered. "How could you do that to Daniel. Well I mean he is an ass to you." "Piper!" "What! I'm just saying. But how could you cheat on Daniel?" "It wasn't my intention to do so. It just kind of happened. Trust me I regret it hard core." "Don't." "What?" "Don't. Daniel's probably cheating on you anyways." "Wow thanks." I said sarcastically. "I'm just saying he's been sketchy lately I don't know if you noticed." "Oh I have he's not greatest at hiding it." Someone grabbed my arm. "What the hell are you doing!" I yelled trying to pull my arm away. " Can I talk to you." I looked up to see that Jack grabbed my arm. We walked into a empty hallway where no one go's unless they needed to use the restroom.

"Are you just gonna hide from me all day or are we gonna talk about what happened?" "Jack we both know it was a mistake I thought we weren't going to talk about it again." "I know but I wanna know why it happened." "It happened because it just did leave it at that." I tried to walk away but Jack grabbed my arm again. "You have a real issue with grabbing-" Shit we started kissing once again. "See! I told you!" Someone yelled behind me. I turned to see Lauren and Daniel. "Kai how could you?" Daniel was furious. They started to walk away. I looked at Jack then at them I mouthed to Jack I'm sorry and ran to them. I grabbed Daniel's arm. "Daniel it's not what it looks like." I tried to tell him. "Lauren was right you are cheating on me." He faked his crying. "What no he kiss-" "Save it." Daniel walked away. Lauren was about to do the same but I grabbed her so quickly she didn't see it coming. "I know what you and Daniel are really doing." "Oh and whats that?" She said in bitchy way that she already knew. "Your a-" "Oh honey no your the slut and cheater." She ripped her arm out my hand and walked away thinking she was a bad ass or something. I walked back over to Jack. "This all your fault." I had tears running down my face. Then walked to the girl's bathroom. I sat on the floor next the sink and cried. I cried so much I made myself puke. I cried until I couldn't cry no more.

Once when I finished crying I heard the girls bathroom door open. Like I said earlier no one ever comes in here. I saw guy shoes walk closer to me. "Kai?" I heard my name. Then I saw the stall I was in open. It was Jack it's always Jack. I smiled. I was actually happy to see me him. He put his hands out to help me up off the floor. I took his offer and he helped me up. He hugged me. "Kai I'm not like Daniel. I'm not just going to throw something so amazing out the door and I get it your mad and you didn't want to lose the love of your life so you blamed me." He said still holding me. "Jack you are the love of my life. Daniel was cheating on me way before I cheated on him. I was just to stupid to realize it." "Your not stupid. He is. Now go home you look like a reck. I'll see you after school." He kissed my forehead and I left to go home.
