A shadow from the garden

The whole house was now in full silence and all is in deep slumber. Every corners were dark and only the moon had gave light through windows, slightly illuminating the rooms. The crispy breeze making the curtains dance as it blew and the coldness made everyone bury themselves in their blankets.

The three of them had slept in their room together and only snoring can be heard throughout the room. Suddenly a pebble was thrown from outside and landed on the floor. It made a sound and caused Jisoo to abruptly sit up from her bed. She scanned the whole room and decided to check on it without waking her brother up.

I brought my feet down to the floor and silently went towards the pebble I see at the center. I bent down and picked it up and studied it. It was just like any pebble you would find everywhere, nothing peculiar about it.

But who on earth would throw a pebble to our window?

And why would that person do it?

I looked above towards the window that leads to our garden, and obviously the pebble came from there. I got up from my knees and just stood there for a while. I don't how but something is telling me that there is a presence right towards my direction and is staring towards me from the garden. Even though I haven't went near the window, I can feel that he knows I am awake and I can feel where he is.

I was about to walk towards the window when somebody spoke,
"Jisoo, dear? Why are you still awake at this hour? Go back to your bed and sleep" It was ahjumma who was leaning through the door. I was about to tell her about this but then the door had closed and she left. I just threw the pebble in the trash can and took a glance to the window.

I wonder who threw that?

I layed back to my bed and closed my eyes, forcing my body to fall back in deep sleep. But I could oddly feel my back shiver for no reason,
