Chapter 14

Azul's POV

It was a weird feeling, forgiving Greyson because he states he's fallen in love with an image of his mate. Yet, here I am, leading Greyson towards his soul mate with Chase.
I almost didn't want to believe it.
I'm still not sure I do.

I really want to, but he really screwed up our relationship. Our friendship.

"Azul." I hear that familiar voice call out to me, and instantly he has my whole attention.
"Yes babe?"

A small smile spreads on his face and he calmly says, "I've been saying your name for the past 5 minutes."

"Oh sorry."

"Nothing to apologize for, what's up? Whatcha thinking about?"
Goddess he is so curious it's annoying half the time.
"I'm not sure I can believe all of this." I murmur.

"That I'm over you?" I hear Greyson ask, a cocky smirk on his face.
"Wipe that smirk off your face before I rip it off you." I hear Chase warn Grey.

Men.

"Boys. Stop. Chase, relax. Greyson, knock it off." I command in my Alpha voice.
"You dare use your alpha voice on me?" Chase growls, which only made me roll my eyes.

"You two are acting like a pair of she-wolves. So knock it off before I do it for you. And believe me, you won't even feel a thing until it's too late." I growl, turning around to show off my dark eyes to them. Both of them get wide eyed, before lowering their gaze to the ground and shutting up. "That's what I fricking thought."

It's silent for an hour before Chase is the one to clear the awkward silence.
"Where are we even going?"

"Greyson is supposedly using his wolf senses to trace this mystery mate of a girl." I say with a sigh.

"We are almost there." Greyson mutters, irritation clear in his tone.

"I hope so." Chase mutters with a groan, I feel tingles shoot up my arm and the next thing I know my mark is on fire.

"Is this really the time to be doing that." Greyson whines, shielding his eyes away from us. A small smile flickers across my lips. This could be fun.

I stop walking and turn to face Chase, his eyes staring up at me in confusion to which I jerk my head towards Greyson, the smile on my face widening.
Chase seems to understand my plan because he smirks and nods his head, so I lean forward and kiss him. The tingles catch me off guard and I bit my tongue to hold in a moan. I heard Greyson groan in disgust as I jump up and lock my legs around Chases' waist.

Theeeeeeeeennnnn things got really heated and I was pushed against a tree, Chase's lips attacking every inch of my skin which now radiated with heat. A whimper left my lips and then I realized, oh shit we need to stop.

I shoved Chase off of me and sunk down against the tree, my heart was racing and I was panting.

"Oh goddess that was gross." Greyson gags while Chase tries to fix his uh... problem.
Both of our eyes are black with lust.

Karma.

I look at the ground and close my eyes, getting my breathing under control. My fangs have pierced my tongue, making me bleed. The sudden need for blood was strong as I looked towards Greyson, who was still gagging.

Don't do it. My wolf begged me.

My vampire side didn't care. I felt my eyes go red and Chase's faint voice. It was too late, I was next to Greyson in half a second, my fingers curled around his neck. Greyson's eyes went wide and he inhaled sharply, tears flooding his eyes.
I forcefully tilted his head to the side and felt my canines extend, before digging into his neck.
I felt his whole body quiver under mine, his shaky gasps for breath, Chase screaming for me to stop.

His blood was sweet and metallic. Just the way I like it. It made me never want to stop. The pounding on my back was hardly anything compared to the joy I got from this.

A second later and I was tackled to the ground by a rust colored wolf. I didn't even recognize its scent.
A thunderous growl left the wolf's lips and it's eyes darkened.

Who does this wolf think it is?

You just tried killing another wolf. Sage pointed out.

Shut up.

My eyes faded back to blue and purple, I just stared right up at him. I refuse to back down. I refuse.
My fangs sunk back into my gums, my wolf side resurfaced and the blood dripping down my chin was no longer pleasant.
Instead I shoved the wolf off of me and crawled to the side of the path before throwing up everything I had today.
My whole body shook as I struggled to breathe, and the wolf that tackled me had the most confused look on its face because I no longer smelled like a vampire.

"She's half vampire, half werewolf." I heard my mate say softly, his eyes full of terror and anxiety. "She's my mate."
The man shifted back to his human side and scoffed, his eyes locked onto mine. "That monster of a girl is your mate?"
Chase growled before launching himself at the nude man, snarling as they both tumbled to the ground.

I then noticed Greyson sputtering up blood as he struggled to heal.
I leaped over the two males fighting and helped Greyson up, my hand placed firmly over my teeth marks.
"Fuck I'm so sorry Grey." I sputtered, putting more pressure on the wound.

"I-It's cool." He said weakly, forcing a smile on his face.

"No it's not. God I'm so sorry Grey." I closed my eyes, before bending over and firmly placing my lips over the teeth marks. Then I started to suck.
I heard Chase growl, but the stranger must've realized what I was doing because he pinned my mate to the ground.

"Azul Stop." He commanded.
I kept sucking on Greyson's neck, ignoring all sounds coming from his mouth.
I had to get the venom out. My poison.
I refuse to let him die.
I had just gotten all the venom out right as someone grabbed me by my hair and ripped me off of Greyson.

I didn't recognize her scent at all, and that venomous glare she was giving me said it all. Her hands curled around Greyson's as she pulled him to his feet right before snuggled her face into his chest, and judging by the look on Grey's face it said it all.

"Mate." They murmured at the same time.
