Chapter 5

I woke up and it was 6:34pm . Mom and Dad are home from work , I wonder if Ross told them all that happened today because I can't , I'm tired of today and principle Phillips lying to my brother .

I grabbed my phone , and remembered that I forgot to text Hannah about today .

* Hannah's Text Messages *

me - hey !

Hannah - hey , what happened today ?

me - stupid Phillips suspended me for three days .

Hannah - why ? what for ?

me - he said that I encouraged violence at the assembly earlier .

Hannah - what ? no you didn't , you did what he asked you to do and that was to tell what you thought about bullying .

me - I know right . he is just an idiot , I have to come get my work tomorrow can you ask if you can bring it up to the office ?

Hannah - sure . so what's up ?

me - thanks , and nothing much just about to go eat supper . what about you ?

Hannah - just sitting on my bed watching dance moms . (;

me - cool , Abby gets on my nerves . haha !

Hannah - yeah , sometimes .

me - haha , okay I will have to text you later my mom is calling me to come downstairs .

Hannah - okay , bye !

" Danny ... Ross , dinner is ready come down here . "

I walked downstairs and Ross didn't come out of his room . did he tell mom ? what if he hasn't , what if I get in big trouble ?

I walked into the kitchen and started fixing my plate ... we were having chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes with biscuits . I grabbed a biscuit and put it on my plate ,

" where's Ross ? " I asked .

" he was up in his room , ROSS , come down here dinner is ready . " my mom shouted to get Ross' attention .

he walked out of his room .

" sorry mom , I fell asleep with my earbuds in . " Ross said .

" it's okay sweetie , come fix your plate . "

Ross walked over and stood next to me to fix his plate and bumped my shoulder and whispered ...

" I'm sorry , I fell asleep I forgot to tell mom . "

I looked at him scared of how much trouble I would be in for not telling them right away .

" it's okay , can you tell them while we eat ? " I asked .

" yeah , don't worry I won't let them ground you or anything . " he said .

" thanks man ! " I said patting his back .

he is much taller than me I just realized , like much taller I was only like 5'5 and he must be about 6'5 .

we all sat down at the table , and dad wasn't there yet .

" where's dad ? " Ross asked .

" he is upstairs , he had a rough day at work , but when he gets down here we have big news . " mom answered .

" so do we . " Ross said smiling at me .

I smiled and laughed a little and started eating . I finished my mashed potatoes and dad walked downstairs .
