"Mary, let's play?" one of her playmates asked her, shyly.
Mary being mary around the people inside the village, she smiled sweetly and nods. Children of the village are so happy playing their favorite games, such as dollhouse, and some are physical games.
Mary is blissful when it comes to her playmates. But when it comes to her family, to their house, it seems like she's a different person..
Her life with her family is as messy as a crow's nest, as hard as a rock and the sad feeling is unbearable.
Many years have passed. Some things are really changing but not everyone or everything is. "Mary! Come here!" the young girl woke up by the noise coming from her different family members' mouths.
"Mary, wash the dishes now! You're so lazy!" it hasn't been five minutes since she woke up but here she is, lots of dishes, laundry and chores are given to her.
Not much seconds after, she can hear her Mother yelling, and probably having a fight with his Father again. She tried her best not to get distracted by the shouts, plates smashing sounds, and slaps coming from the cruel hands of her parents.
Yes, they do live together but they are not really living like a family. Instead of love, the young girl is always receiving lots of slaps, and experiences about having a cruel broken family.
She wipes her tears and stared at the sky. What a peaceful view, a young girl is wishing for a peaceful life.
"Please..." by the sound of her simple sigh, you can here the frustrations, sadness and anger formed within her heart.
Days have passed. But still, her family's still the same. Same old fight. Different level of hurting. "Mary, you have lots of chores here! Start now or else I'll be cutting your one and only bed sheet so you'll sleep in a bare mattress!" she just woke up and hearing this kind threat makes her want to sleep for the rest of the day not until her family's gone.
"Mary, mary! Why do you have so many bruises?" one of the young lady's 'friend' asked her as if it cares for her. As far as she knows, she's only here for gossips.
"I tripped!" Mary replied a fake reason, or maybe somehow or someway, it's true. She tripped because of the pile of clothes inside their messy house. She tripped while doing the chores. She tripped while his father is harassing her. She tripped because of too much emotion she's feeling. She tripped by her own thoughts and she's trap by her own sadness.
Her own thoughts got interrupted by "Mary! Get me a glass of water. Now." The young woman immediately obey what her father asked for but what she got in return? A hit on her head, just because her Dad wants to do such thing. She stared at him sternly. He caught her looking at him like that and asked the younger, "Why are you looking like that?" his voice is deep and you can sence the angriness. Mary scoffs in her mind. He doesn't want to be disrespected? Then why do that to others?
Mary just shakes her head, and turn her heels off her cruel father.
She's asking herself everyday, everynight, why are they so cruel? Why are they doing such things? Then, all of a sudden, she realized something. Maybe, she's really a girl who isn't deserve any love. Many days have passed. Same routines, but her feelings are much more heavier than the usual.
