i love having a routine. i'm a very disorganised person, so when i have a routine i know i'm improving and doing something good. i kind of like getting a high off of it.
routines can just be sleeping at a certain time. i am not good at sleeping at a certain time. i usually stay up until 3am watching vine compilations because at night i get extremely suicidal and need something to be happy about. i guess it's okay to distract myself, but i should not be staying up until 3 o'clock in the morning, willingly.
and neither should you.just simple things like switching your phone off helps. turn off notifications and that won't tempt you to look at your phone. sometimes my phone will get a notif and it'll light up my whole room, causing me a distraction for sleep.
i have a skin routine too, i use it every night without a fail, but there is one part i skip out sometimes.
i will show you my skin routine, i use this because i have extremely oily skin which creates a lot of spots on my face, and since using this routine i've noticed my face start to get clearer.
first, i wipe off all the make-up i can. use wipes specifically for taking off make-up as they work better. i also have a thing just for eye make up by garnier.
then i put exfoliant on, but only sometimes. too much exfoliant can be bad. i use visibly clear blackhead eliminating exfoliant by neutrogena.
i have a blemish cream by the same brand.i always put deodorant on before bed. don't actually know if that does anything.
and i always put lip balm on too, because my lips dry quickly.
i have a morning routine, on school days. wake up, get dressed (i shower at night), have a drink (i don't actually have time to eat at home but i eat once i get to school), brush teeth, brush hair, get the bus.
when i get home, i eat straight away. usually because i've only eaten about twice in a school day. then i grab a drink and go upstairs. i'll lounge around for a while and then i do my homework.
routines are a great helper for making you feel happier. it makes me feel organised and like i'm succeeding.
