Dean's P.O.V.

A sharp knock on the door woke me with a start. "Dean if we don't leave soon we're going to be late"  Sammy's foot steps trailed away.  I opened my eyes and the bright light coming from the window burned.  Ugh I rolled over and found I was still holding the empty whiskey bottle.  "shit" I sat up holding my head.  I looked at my phone for the time, 7:20,  I signed again and put on a sweatshirt over the shirt I wore yesterday and ended up sleeping in.  My jeans and shoes were still on too.  I eyed the empty bottle.  "bad idea." but very necessary.  I concluded to myself.  On my way out my room I swiped up a pair of sunglasses with an extra tint and we were out.

"I didn't see or hear from you last night after I heard that last bit of stomping."  Sam looked at my sunglasses on an overcast Washington day.  "I took one of dads bottles, I'm a little hungover that's all."  I lowered my sunglasses at Sam so he could see I didn't have a black eye.  "Dean," Sam had a way of sounding disappointed but still in a cute you care about me way.  "I'm going to school aren't I?"  I laughed at his mothering habit.  He  joined in too.

Once at school I went to hide in my first period, I kept my music off but put the earphones in to keep people from talking to me.  I heard the final bell ring but was too scared to lift up my head and find Cas.

The next few weeks pasted like that, both of us avoiding each other.

The end of October brought the Halloween parties, which I would attend as many as possible.  How could I pass up free booze and hot cheeks?  I took Sam to some of the calmer ones but most of the times I went alone.  I had found myself in with the popular kids so I knew where all the parties were.  The biggest one was saved for Halloween day.  Practically the whole school was going to be there.

Casteil's P.O.V.

October 31st, with my family being so religious Halloween was "the devils holiday" so we didn't do anything that had a remote thing to do with it.  This Party that was going on happened to land on a Saturday and everyone was working.  I decided that instead of staying home and wallowing I was going to go out and have fun, or at least try.  At the very least I could get drunk or high and sit in the corner dancing by myself.    The party supposedly started at 8 but I don't want to show up and it be half alive.  I left out my window just after 9 p.m. and ended up having to walk half an hour trying to find the house.  When I got there I could hear the music faintly outside.

Walking in the music was so loud I would have to be yelling in someones ear to even talk to them.  Someone gabbed my arm and pulled me into the kitchen where the music didn't reach as well.  "You're Casteil, right?"  It was Joann Harvelle, she was also a senior.  "Yeah its Joann right?"  "please call me Jo"  she smiled at my shy stammering. "I never see you at parties, why are you here?"  I had to stop and thing, "I don't really know," I laughed with Jo.  "Here have a shot," she handed me a clear liquid in a shot glass and handed it to me.  I brought it up to my lips and downed it quickly.  It was so smooth it only slightly burned going down.  "Wow look at the shy kids taking shots like nothing!"  She handed me another but I refused taking a beer instead.  I watched Jo and some guy take the shot that was supposed to be mine.  I laughed at their yelling and excitement over one shot.  I tuned to look into the crowed of dancing people and my eyes catch Deans sea green eyes.  I felt my face heat up. I quickly looked down into my beer.  "whats that look for?" Jo giggled in my ear.  "what look?" I still couldn't look  away from the brown liquid.  "the ones that got you all blushyyyyyy" she dragged out the y, "OMG!!! Is your crush here!?!?"  I hushed her as quickly as I could, "Who is it?"  She was hanging off me and begged to know who it was.  "Okay okay,  its, its, Dean." "Dean Winchester????"  Her expression was so loud I wanted to laugh.  "Yes okay, but it isn't not even worth it, he doesn't like me."  "That's so sad!"  after that I lost her.  She dragged me to a couch in some side room and talked at me for what seemed like hours.  I had finished my drink and just sat there thinking of a way to get out of that mess.  "Hey Jo I gotta pee, I'll be right back."  She just turned to the guy next to her and continued her story.

I walked down the hall to find a bathroom the first door I walked into was  bedroom and there was a couple so drunk and making out so hard that they didn't even notice me open and close the door.  I finally found a bathroom shutting the door behind me, not bothering to lock it, I washed my face.  And came to the conclusion of going home.  The party was boring like I thought it would be and Dean being here only made it worse.  I swung open the door to find myself face to face with Dean.  I gasped and stepped back, "Cas, I have to tell you something,"  Dean said as he walked into the bathroom with me.  He closed the door behind him.  "Dean,"  "Look Cas I regret not doing this before, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it."  My brain went fuzzy, what was he talking about.  I kept backing up until I was against the wall.  Dean locked the door and was right up on me.
