Today is the day I go to school at after knowing I have this disability. I roll off the blankets with a stiff hand. Am I ready? I jump off the bed only to fall on the ground. Mom and dad run up the stairs. Worried looks take over their faces. "What happened?" Mom asked. "Trying to have fun, now get out please." I say with a stern, but not angered voice. I walk in to my walk-in closet just as they close the door. After knowing I have this disability it's a lot of pressure. The teachers at my school already know, so they'll be taking it easy on me. That's not what I want though. Most of the other kids will yell mean words at my face because I'm getting special care. I pick out a top and struggle to make my hands become loose. My hands won't bend the way I want them to. Finally I just plop it on my head and pull it down from the bottom. The words on my shirt say "I am STRONG I am BOLD" I wish I could be want it wants me to be. I grab my denim jeans and put that on. I walk slowly into my bathroom and grab the toothbrush. "This is going to be hard," I say to myself. 30 minutes later I am butt-scooting down the stairs. Mom stairs at me blankly. "What, you expect me to walk down?" I ask. Now realizing the tone I have been using when talking to my parents. Gosh, this whole thing is making me dizzy. I topple to the ground and fall asleep.
