I can't believe how much she's going through. She walks normally one day and the next she's butt-scooting down the stairs. I want summer to come sooner. I look down at her still unconscious body. "Oh, sweetie. It will be ok," I whisper bending down. I walk out the door of the hospital. I must get used to this place. She'll be in it a lot. I told the teachers about the incident and they said that she wouldn't have to go to school, for the last week of it anyway. The doctor walks out of the room and said to wait patiently because they were getting good feedback. I waited for about 30 minutes before hearing that Halie had woken up. I walk up to her. She is laughing. "I had the most crazy dream, I dreamt I had a disability called dys- dysania? I don't really know it" she says. "Sweetie, it wasn't a dream," I say feeling the tears building up in the bags of my eyes. "That's ok with me, but I'm sleepy," right then she falls asleep.
