Chapter Eight: Jaebum's Perspective of... Y'know.

It happened so fast.

One second, Jaebum was looking for her. His girl. God he needed to get her before one of them died.

He was rushing through the trees, cutting off walkers as he went. Then he saw her.

All in one moment, it changed.

He was charging towards her and then she screamed. He cried out her name, thinking that something bit her and then- Oh, GOD, it hurt!

"[Y/N]!" He cried and then tried to run to her, but... Something was holding him back and every time he tried to move- OW FUCK. The burn in his forearm was unbearable. He looked to the side.

Oh... That's what was holding him back.

A female walker had her chompers secured around his arm, the burning pulsing from it and up into his heart and veins. He brought his hand up to swat at it and try to get her off, but all it did was make her bite harder. He cried out again and fell to his knees, another walker coming to him. God, why did it hurt so much?!

Again, he got bitten before an angel swooped in and killed the bad guys. Oh, she was so beautiful... Mumbled words that sounded almost like what he thought the angel was called echoed in his brain. Wait..

"[Y/N]!" He screamed again as the burn pulsed through him and he felt a sharp bolt to his head. "[Y-Y/N], it hurts... God, it hurts so much..." His head lolled against her and he kept randomly murmuring or whimpering the whole way back to the camp.

Eventually, he lost consciousness from the pain until he heard that gorgeous voice... His angel... Not his hope. No, that's Hoseok's thing. And he doesn't want Hoseok, he wants his girl. Where's [Y/N]? He opened his eyes and looked up at his lovely girl.

She was saying something to him, but all he could really understand was that she had the most beautiful voice he'd ever heard.

"[Y/N]... It hurts so much... But you're here and your voice..." He grinned and leaned his head against her stomach. "You should have been a singer, babygirl..."

And then his peace came crushing down as venom and pain and just hell itself pulsed through him, gripping his lungs and making him wish that she didn't have to see this. She shouldn't have to see this. She shouldn't have to fucking see this.

Jaebum's first shout was completely out of frustration and anger, but the rest... The rest were from agonizing pain. He wasn't even sure if he was conscious while it was happening, he just knew that ever single one of his nerves were being burned into at once and he just wanted it to stop.

And then it did.
