Laying on her bed helpless, slowly fading away she hears her mother run into the room screaming her name.
Her vision becomes blurry and she can't hear her mother speaking to her. The blood is trickling down her left arm that hangs off the bed while her mother calls for help.
"Baby please don't go," her mother screams as she lies there feeling hopeless knowing she's almost gone. Her eyes begin to shut and her mother shakes her telling her to stay.
Sirens began to alarm as the ambulance makes its way speeding down the street as fast as it possibly can
"Hi Alyssa," said Hannah. Alyssa turned and looked responding with, "Hey I like your backpack." These two girls never knew each other but that simple conversation started a friendship for life.
Sitting at the corner of my bed with my head in my knees I began to cry and wonder why i was here. My phone buzzed, (5:24 pm) it was a text from Hannah which read
"Hey Alyssa I noticed you weren't at school today and you never miss school, are you okay ?"
I replied with
"Of course, just have a little cold."
I lied
It was more than that, but I didn't feel bad for lying. I actually felt nothing at all.
The next day at school Hannah approached me.
"Hey are you okay," she asked with a concerned look on her face.
" Yes I'm just feeling sick still but it'll go away soon." I said
It'll all go away I said in my mind hoping the day would come sooner.
I was feeling absolute guilt for thinking the things I was but I had reached my breaking point. I had convinced myself that no one cared for me.
