"Of course. Why not?"
"I dunno. I feel like you're speaking to me in the first place because it was a dare or something." Jungkook shrugged. Looking down at his food again.
Aw. He looks sad.
And I felt guilty.
Do I tell him that it was a dare?
Or not?
''Jungkook. I want to be your first friend.'' I requested.
Because I wanted to, didn't I?
"Hmm" he paused "Can I trust you though?"
"That's up to you." I replied. Say yes.
"I don't know why I'm doing this but I'm going to choose to trust you, Lee Yerin." He said, looking up.
Suddenly the words are struck in throat, I'm trapped for a moment as his eyes looked into mine.
I don't know why but in this moment I start to feel vulnerable, as if this Jungkook was trying to search my eyes for my true intentions of why I wanted him to trust me. I think there's a word out there to describe how I'm feeling right now.
Opia.
I blink away from the hypnotisation Jungkook caused.
"Thank you." I say, looking down at the table, feeling the warmth spread across my cheeks."I hope I can be a good friend to you."
Why was I getting shy?
"And make you happy."
