BTS and Blackpink Awards (Closed)

Important Notice

Hi,

So a dear friend informed me that this awards is allegedly plagiarizing a different awards with almost the same name.

Please note that it was never our intention to plagiarize any awards. We created this to simply find good stories and give them recognition and the right credits that they deserve.

This awards was originally named BTS and BP Awards but we changed it to cater the other fandoms since we don't want to focus simply on BTS and BP. Plus, a different awards will soon be opened.

We never asked for votes and follows. Even the judges on this awards never asked for one. And we never stated that we're in anyway affiliated with a different awards except for the Fil page.

We didn't know we're not allowed to use the word KFICS at all since trademark isn't something usually used for awards. If we knew, we wouldn't use it. If we ever offend anyone especially the organizers, we apologize.

We will take responsibility on this event as well as reach out to the organizer of the awards for the misunderstanding.

For now, we've changed the name of the awards for visibility.

We will still continue to find beautiful stories.

Hi everyone,

So many of you must have seen the posts earlier. Everything has been settled and the post from that awards has been taken down.

We did changed the name but the rights for trademark wasn't technically resolved.

To clarify, we did not,  in anyway plagiarized their awards and WE DID NOT RECEIVE A MESSAGE. We just want to be clear on that. If we did, we would surely do something about it. We have proof that we didn't unless Wattpad wasn't working properly and there was an error during the time that it was posted.

The admins on this awards are mostly adults who already finished University,  received their degrees and working,  except for the graphic admin coz she's a student, who we can assure you acts maturely than most of us. :)

Yoon may have accepted everything easily,  but a few of the other admins were a little taken aback.

We felt bad for Yoon who spent her whole day doing the finishing touches for the awards, skipping her meals and all even though she technically won't earn anything for this, only to for this to happen.

We've reached out to Wattpad to clarify about trademark issues. We meant no harm, but we just everything to be settled properly.

Just know that we  didn't intend to offend anyone. All we wanted was find exceptional stories.

And to everyone affected,  we apologize for the incident and we will continue looking for the best kpop stories here in Wattpad.

Final Announcement

So Ambassadors and Wattpad Help answered our queries and they've inform us that there is no such thing as trademark in Wattpad since it is a free writing platform, only copyrights. We are told that we should be able to use it as long as Wattpad allows us.

So, WE ARE ALLOWED TO USE the name KFICS AWARDS INTERNATIONAL official as a Page/Account's name. As long as Wattpad allows you to use it,  then it's fine. This is a name of the page with stems of different awards while theirs is a published book under the a personal username.

We will not change back the name of the award's page out of respect and we are posting this only for clarification. However, we will still use the username for log in issues. The name of the page will remain as KFanfics Awards International with the username kficsawardsint.

We have in no way,  wishes to offend or disrespect anybody.

We just want to make everything official by clarifying things.

We hope everything is settled and no other issues will occur after.
