„So, you wanna sit?" Marshall broke our silent staring while he took one step back and I nodded and walked over to the couch he had pointed on, to sit down. He on the other hand, stood still at his spot and looked at me, while rubbing through his beard.

„You want to stay there? Because then I'll sta...."

„No." Instantly he moved over to me before I'd finished my sentence and sat down at the other end of the couch. „What you wanna talk 'bout, Daniela?"

„Saturday?!" I questioned back and an unreadable expression washed over his face.

„I think you made yaself pretty clear, there's no need to talk 'bout anythin'."

„Marshall, I really want to apologize for how I reacted when you....you know?! It was inappropriate and just wrong."

„Inappropriate?" He asked in slight disbelief. „Just wrong? An you wanna apologize? Sorry, but you just have a fuckin' problem wit me. That's it. The fuck's wrong wit you?"

„Excuse me?" I honestly was offended by the way he talked to me.

„Yeah, you come here, only to blow me off fo' a second time?!"

„That is not why I'm here." I stated seriously. „I came here to apologize because I like to believe I have manners and can admit when I've made a mistake. And the way I reacted was exactly that, a mistake. Now do you want me to talk on or should I leave so I won't have to listen to your accusations?!"

For a few seconds he only looked at me and when I was about to get up, he leaned over and placed his hand on mine.

„I wanna hear what you have to say. Please stay, aight?!" I nodded and judging by the way he looked shortly at our hands, he probably was surprised that I didn't pull mine away.

„Okay...." I took a rather deep breath and started. „I know we don't know each other for long, but somehow I have the feeling to know a lot more about you, then the other way around. So here's something you don't know about me.... I'm not good at interacting with people if it comes to my private life, actually I'm terrible. I overanalyze everything they say, do....anything and then I build an opinion about them and I have to admit, I did the exact same with you." I stopped shortly when he softly tightened his hand around mine and looked down at our hands. „You'd been so honest with me, about everything and I.... let's say my brain used it against you. I guess it's some kind of security mechanism, so I wouldn't get hurt...."

„What have I done wrong?" He cutted in and I looked up into his face on which a very irritated expression lingered.

„Nothing and that's probably the worst of all. You've only been honest, it was my fault. I'm sorry, I really didn't want to turn you down, blow you off or whatever you want to call it."

„What have I said that made you react like that then?"

„It's your history with women." I answered straight out and he let his head fall down and exhaled audibly.

„Daniela..."

„No, please don't!" I tightened my hand around his fingers and squeezed. „I don't want you to feel the need to explain yourself, as I said, it was my fault not yours."

Again we fell quiet shortly while he had started to softly brush his thumb over my hand.

„So where we at now?" He asked with a low voice and I smiled a little.

„What would you think about another dinner? Maybe this week?"

„You said you're off the whole week, right?!" I nodded. „Then what 'bout today?"
