welcome to a new kind of tension, all across the alienation,

where everything isn't meant to be okay, television dreams of-

"Staves, meet me and Thor in the lab, Loki means to unleash the Hulk." Regina didn't think she'd moved faster in a long time, feet moving from the table to the floor so quickly Maria looked over at her. Regina didn't have time for explanations, turning to speed-walk off of the bridge. As soon as she was off of it, she put her hand to her ear. "Copy, Romanoff. On my way."

She loved being in action, she really did. And god, did she want to see the Hulk in action - but not here, not now. Too much was at stake and too many lives were at risk. And, to be quite honest, the thought of Loki even getting a little bit of fun was especially annoying to her.

She pulled her hair up into a ponytail as she walked into the room, noticing the tension growing between Tony and Fury a lot quicker than what would be safe. "What is Phase 2?" Tony asked, looking at his beeping screen. Regina stepped aside as Steve walked through, dumping a weapon onto the table.

"Phase 2 is S.H.I.E.L.D uses the cube to make weapons." He said. "Sorry, computer was moving a little slow for me."

"Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract - do not touch that, Staves." Fury defended, only to stop to scold Regina as she moved towards the weapon to take a closer look. "This does not mean we're making-"

"I'm sorry, Nick," Tony interrupted, turning the screen towards them. "What were you lying?"

"I was wrong, Director." Steve said. "The world hasn't changed a bit." Regina let a smirk surface at the Captains sass showing, observing with mild amusement.

She looked to the door as Thor and Natasha walked in, looking set on their mission. "Did you know about this?" Bruce asked, gesturing to the screen.

"You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor?" Natasha asked.

Bruce seemed a little offended by the suggestion, and quite rightly so in Reginas opinion. "I was in Kolkata. I was pretty well removed." He said, not seeming very angry at all despite the rather blunt order, bordering on accusation.

"Loki is manipulating you." Natasha warned.

"And what have we been doing?" Regina scoffed. "Let's not kid ourselves here, S.H.I.E.L.D isn't innocent in any way, apparently." She scoffed, gesturing to the weapon on the table.

"Exactly, what have you been doing?" Bruce asked.

"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you."

"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy." Bruce said, stepping away from her and back towards the screen. "I'd like to know why S.H.I.E.L.D is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction." Regina moved closer to the screen to read over the information while Fury redirected the blame.

"Because of him." He said, pointing to Thor.

"Me?" Thor questioned. Regina turned around, scowling at the newfound information on the Tesseract, and crossed her arms as Fury continued to try and justify himself. "Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet, who had a grudge match that levelled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned."

Regina scoffed, "And weapons of mass destruction, that is exactly how we keep the peace, right? Sound logic."

"My people want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor defended.
