For the crown

It was her birthday. She finally turned 18 on 14th of June. Her mother was so proud of what she has become. A fierce warrior, a beautiful women, A kind hearted princess but most importantly the most feared women among her enemies. Her mother entered her room to find her sitting in front of her mirror, deeply engaged in her thoughts that she didn't notice her presence. "Araelza, my baby you've finally turned 18, oh! how I wish your grandmoi would be here to see the day you officially getting crowned, how I wish she would be the one presenting you our ancestral crown and... " Hilda Foheir stopped her blabber finally noticing that Araelza was not paying any attention to her. " Ara? Are you alright? What are you thinking about? Is it the crown ceremony that's worrying you ? oh! Honey don't worry I know you will manage to walk on the stairs without breaking your head atleast I hope so you will hehe..." still Araelza was not paying attention to what she was saying now this got Hilda worried because her daughter is always so observant and cautious of her surroundings that she never not payed attention to what others were talking about . "ARAELZA!" Araelza jumped from her seat finally acknowledging her mother's presence. "oh lords! Mother you scared me. what are you doing here? do you need som.." she is cut off by her mother giving her a bone-crushing hug . "I was worried sick about you, you never behaved like this before, so quite and so...sad? why! What happen? Why do you look so unhappy on your 18th birthday? "

Araelza sighs finally absorbing her surroundings she regains her senses. " it's just that....I've never been 18 before. It just feels so different..." she lies gracefully "oh! Of course you haven't been 18 before, everything has its first time(she winks). Ah! I remember the day I turned 18, your grandmoi was so excited about it that she didn't let me eat my favorite French dark chocolates FOR A WEEK because she thought I wouldn't fit into the dress she specially prepared for me and you know...." And like that Ara was again drifted back to her thoughts.

She was actually not feeling good about this day. She didn't feel like normal teenagers who are super happy about their 18th birthday, of course she was not a normal teenager after all which teenager has to go through war preparations and go to classes to learn how to kill people. But this feeling was different, it was strange it was DARK. She was staring at the dark gloomy sky and thought to herself "this is it, I am entering my death wish". She was right this day would be the worst day of her life.
