FOR THE CROWN

chapter 2

*Introduction of new character Arain Foheir , first born of the Foheirs and Araelza's older brother*

What did he want? After 8 years of staying away why is he here? And now! The day she was getting crowned. Did mother know? Did papa? Of course they didn't or else he wouldn't be standing right here. She then looked at him this time to observe him , he was looking very handsome, chiseled face , nicely gelled hair , wearing that all time lovely smirk on his face .He looked right into her icy blue eyes she was calculating his every expression and finally she whispered "No" . He showed his wide dazzling smile and said "welcome home, eh?" . She was confused , she didn't want him back home not after what he has done. "WHY!?" She couldn't control her anger anymore " WHY BROTHER ! WHY ?YOU WANT US TO DESTROY OURSELVES ? YOU WANT ME OUT OF THE FAMILY AGAIN?! AGAIN HUH? WHY DID YOU COME BACK!"

'Calm down ,sister . it's not what you think' he replied hesitantly . She was done , she didn't need any excuses but yet again he was her brother , looking at him after all these years she wanted to run towards him and hug him but she didn't because he left her all alone , he was not there when she needed him the most , she was consumed in sadness days after he left he was the one she always wanted to look upto but then he was....Gone

'Then what is it? Huh? you had to come during my crowning ceremony to ruin the biggest night of my entire life. Did it not suffice you to shatter our family after you left?' she said. His heart was breaking . He did everything to protect her , he left to protect her even though she does not have an idea about it . He never wanted to leave her , he was hurting 100 times more because of it and hating himself for leaving her ,But it had to be done . he thought he was protecting her from this day but he had to come back. Leaving this place went in vain but it didn't matter because his sister wouldn't have been this strong and independent if he had been here. He was proud of the women standing in front of him.

'Swan I wante-' he was interrupted by sharp words of Araelza piercing through him

' Don't call me that! You lost that right the moment you left the kingdom and stopped caring about me ' she exclaimed .

He was quite for a moment .Then he continued after taking a long breath ' I never stopped caring about you Swa- ...Araelza, everything I did was to protect you and you need to understand that . I know it was very hard for you after I lef-'

'HARD!?' she exclaimed .He flinched at her tone. 'hard?' she said with a broken voice. He looked at her and was shocked to see tears flowing down her cheeks. His heart ached he went near her and hugged her and was comforting her by mumbling few sorry's . ' I was alone for so many weeks, I never went out to play ,I was by myself all day long , I never ate stomach full, I was so desperate to hear your voice that I completely cut myself out of the reality' he was listening to her intently while she was still in his arms. She felt his  warmth and felt protected at that moment , she missed this . ' and it was not until one day that papa reached out and told me that you were never coming back, he told that you left the kingdom because you were not brave enough to face the reality , he told me to not become like you...a coward he wanted to make me strong and brave , a ferocious warrior . so since then I've been training vigorously , it helped me to become strong and..' She looked at him , her eyes swirling with sadness 'and..to keep me from remembering you and forgetting you '

'Swan..' he was dumped with guilt . ' I will tell you everything okay? Why I left and why I came today and I didn't come to ruin your night I came to be a part of it ' he smiled and that smile was enough for her to get relaxed.

Even though his brother left the kingdom and left her she knew he had a reason for it . she knew that he would come back . She knew it was not because he didn't care for her . Deep down she couldn'tbe angry with him. She refused to believe that the brother she once loved andcared and who loved her even more was gone. 

She knew he wasn't a coward .......after all he is a Foheir .
