Chapter 4. Bandiths

Leila bowed as she introduced her self. "Leila huh" with a smile on shiro's face he said "that's a pretty cute name" Leila blushed and was embarrassed as shiro said that so she looked away and said "so, are you going out today?".

He said "no not yet, I still have to investigate here and find some clues about who I really am so I'm going to stay for a couple more days is that ok with you?".

"Yeah its fine you can stay until you're done  but in exchange after you're done will you take me with you on you're adventures because I really want to go in an adventure" she said with an exited look on her face. Shiro thought about it and was having trouble deciding he said "it's really dangerous out there so I want you to be really sure about this".

Without hesitation Leila shouted "I'M SURE!! Please take me with you I don't want to be stuck here forever like a tree that's waiting to be cut down. I want to be free, free just like a bird that flies everywhere it wants".

"Yeah, except some birds are captured, chained, made a pet, and some others became food" he said. Leila wasn't pleased of what shiro said. "no, no, no don't be so negative shiro you know if a bird gets captured its freedom might be taken but its desire to be free won't. so no mater how many birds get captured, ones freedom will always be there as long as they don't lose hope. just like me that wants freedom because I've been here for 14 years now and all I can do is watch and guard this room and I don't even know why, so I want you to free me, pretty please".

She begged him to take her so shiro wasn't left with any choice but to agree "fine if that's what you really want then who am I to oppose that". Leila was so happy that she tried to hug shiro without hesitation but when she did she just passed through him like air and said "oh hehe I forgot I was a ghost tehehe". Both laughed and they're anxiety to each other lessened.

Meanwhile after the bandits returned to their master they reported everything to him. Angry and irritated the boss of the bandits said "you useless idiots! you can't even take one artifact inside an old mansion. how hard can that be?" Scared and shaking the grunts answered "b-b-b-but b-b-boss t-there's a g-ghost in there its g-guarding t-the a-a-a-artifact and its using magic t-to d-drive us away".

With a tone of curiosity to his voice he said "hhmm interesting, a ghost that can use magic and it's guarding an artifact. Beside the boss are two beautiful maidens. on his left is Sabrina the witch of the waters and on his right is Guairá the witch of the earth. The boss calls out to Guairá and said "Guairá investigate this what they call ghost. I'm curious of her existence and remember just investigate, don't interfere yet. once you discovered something report back to me immediately understood?". "Yes my lord" said Guairá and then left.

"Sabrina I've got a job for you. take twenty of the grunts and invade that village where the ghost is. take everything you can find useful and while you're at it take the artifact as well" he said. "But my lord do I have to steal it or should I use force to take it instead?" asked Sabrina. "You can do as you please" he said. "Understood and what about Guairá my lord? didn't you just assign her to go there. don't we have to notify this to her first?". "do not worry about that. Guairá already knows what to do" he said. "Very well my lord" she said, then left after that. 

"A ghost within an artifact huh? very interesting indeed" he said it with an exited expression on his face. 5 days have passed and still no sign or clues of what he's searching for and in that time the two didn't know that bandits are already attacking the northern part of the village. The two prepared them selves to leave and was deciding what route to take. "Why don't we head east I've got a feeling that something interesting is going on in there" she excitedly said to him. 

"Really, you've got a feeling?" he said with an uncertain look on his face. "Well what do you expect? this is my first time going on an adventure for years, it's really making me excited!" as she said that so happily, her face came close to shiros face.

"W-well if you're happy then that's fine" he said while he tries to get away then he said to himself "man she's really free spirited than usual. I think this is going to be a very long journey". As they was about to go they heard footsteps on the hall. "Sshhh seems like someone is here and there are many of them" whispered shiro. "It seems like they're after something" said Leila. Shiro thought about what those guys are after and then suddenly he remembered and he said "that's right I remember hearing them talking about an artifact back when they where here the other day".

"An artifact, could it be?". Leila gasped as she remembers an important thing and said. "Shiro let's get away from here take the earrings with you because I wont be able to go anywhere without it!". Shiro quickly took the earrings and putted it in his pocket. Leila knows a secret exit in the house so she led shiro there to escape. "Quickly inside here" as she said that she pushed a button and a painting from shiro's right opened "now let's move to the exit". When they got out of the house a woman was already waiting for them and it was Sabrina the water witch...
