I Needed You

~FRIENDS?~

CHAPTER 4:

I walked to my usual place near the lake,I liked to be alone. My mom and dad passed away when I was 2 ,since then I live with my aunt. My aunt loves me, but for the time being she's out of town for a month so I live alone.

The sun was about to drown,so I got up and headed towards home. On the way I accidentally bumped into a child and I realized I dropped his ice cream. I was met with a pair of striking blue eyes which stared intensely back at me.

“oh im sorry I'll buy you another ,come on" I told him while holding him in my arms. He was most probably a 5 year old. We went to the ice cream parlour and bought ice cream for him, as the ice cream came in his reach he ran away. I saw him run towards a person sitting on a bench. I was confused at first but when he craned his neck around I was met with two brown eyes that were quite familiar. Then it hit me. It was lauren.

She walked towards me.

“hey,long time no see!" she said.

“ya its been time since we met, is he your brother? what's his name" I asked while crouching in front of the toddler. Before lauren could say anything the little todler spoke up.

“ my name is Jack, I know your name.... you're luke , Laurent talks about you....." he paused to lick his ice cream "all the time".

”but we just met once Lauren?" I asked him.

“ oh...he ..um I told him that you gave me a ride to the wedding " she said scratching her head.

“ok so we'll meet soon" I said kissing jack and standing up, he kissed me back on my cheek.

“no kisses for you Lauren hahaaa" he taunted. I was about to walk away when Lauren stopped me.

“jack go play with your friends I'll come in a while" she said. She told me to sit on the bench with her

“so what are you doing tomorrow?" he asked “ would you like to go to the carnival with me?"she said while he ran his hands through her hair.

“ya sure " I said ,as the words escaped my mouth I saw her smile.

“ I'll pick you at 7,done!" I happily said.

“ok I need to get home see you tomorrow" I was walking away but she offered to drop me home. She went to get jack and we parted. I directed her and soon we reached at my place.

“wanna come in jack?" I asked him with a babyish sound.“yes,can we go in Lauren please?"he asked“OK but for 10inutes only or else mom would be worried"she said while getting out of the car.

Jack was watching t.v and I was sitting on the dinning table with Lauren. I offered het food but she refused. I gave some left over pasta from lunch to jack who happily ate it. Soon it was time for them to leave. I escorted them out and gave jack a hug and a kiss.

“ bye Jack come back soon" I shouted waving my hand as he waved his sitting in the backseat outside the window.

“bye Lauren" I whispered and i wasnt sure if i was audible enough but i was snapped out of my thoyghts as lauren replyed  “ bye emm" and drove the car.
