"Oh that is rich, coming from you. I felt bad for what I had said to you when the Black hood threatened me, but it looks like I was right on the dot. Wasn't I, Veronica?" Betty questioned the raven-haired girl, arms crossed in front of her.

Veronica tried to keep her face straight, but her eyes started to water, as she stared up at the angry golden-haired girl. She shook her head.

"Betty...no. You have to understand. I'm not how that expose painted me out to be." she replied back, her voice soft and trembling. She had lost the edge in her voice, gripping onto the skirt of her plaid checkered dress.

When she looked up at Betty again, the hard glint in the blonde girl's eyes, was not a good sign, as far as Veronica could tell.

"Really? Save it for the trial you and your family will be in, for all the different charges put up against you. Reformed mean girl? Bullshit" Betty spat, turning on her heel, her high ponytail swinging behind her before she hurried out of Veronica's room, without saying a word to Hermione and Hiram as she left the Pembrooke.

What do you do when no one wants to believe you? Not even your own boyfriend?

"Arch...we need to talk" Veronica called to him, knocking on the doorframe of his open bedroom door.

The ginger haired boy looked up from where he sat at his desk, a small smile on his face, as he was writing some things down on a small notebook.

"Hey Ronnie, come in" he replied, giving her a peck on the cheek before he continued his writing.

"What are you doing?" she asked, curious, peeking over his shoulder at the papers layed out over his desk.

"Oh it's great. I'm helping your dad finalize the Sodale project. He has awesome ideas, and he's naming me the sub advisor." He said, checking some things off.

"Um about that, Arch. I was thinking, this is getting way too deep and crazy. We should, elope" Veronica said, sitting down at the edge of Archie's bed.

Archie raised his eyebrows at this. "Elope? Ronnie, look I'm crazy about you. But I'm not ready to get married. We're sixteen!" he replied, freaking out.

Veronica laughed, shaking her head. "No run away, get away from all of this. Start somewhere fresh" she proposed, standing up, and leaning into his side.

Archie's eyebrows furrowed before turning to the raven-haired girl, placing his palms gently on her petite shoulders.

"Ronnie, I can't. My work is here. Your dad has a vision. And we can help him" he said his eyes shining.

Veronica took a few steps back, alarmed. Her father had brainwashed her boyfriend into his corrupt ways.

"I—I'm sorry Arch.. then I can't do this..us anymore" she said quickly, eyes watering for the second time that day, before running out of the Andrews' home.

Archie sat there, processing this, calling her twice before sighing, running his hands through his hair.

"She'll come around" he thought, before going back to his plans.

Two hours later, Veronica was all packed, taking all the savings she could that she kept for emergencies, usually for shopping emergencies, and left the Pembrooke quietly, leaving a note for her parents on the dining table.

Her heels clacked softly against the marble floors, she looked around, taking in her surroundings for one last time.

A cab was waiting for her at the curb, and she hopped in the back, sighing, as she glanced out the half-open window.
