"Just one more drop... nice, nice."
"Be careful!"
"I swear, Max, if this whole thing is ruined because of your stupid shaky hands--!"
     Bloop!
There was a collective sigh of relief. The last piece of the puzzle was finally in place. As if on cue, everyone began looking around expectantly and glancing at their watches.
     BAHMP!...BAHMP!... BAHMP!... BAHMP!... BAHMP!...
The alarms began going off. Max quickly tapped the fingerprint pad on his black wrap around watch. The screen was illuminated by bright blue numbers. Right on schedule, he thought, June 1, 2037, 12:00 p.m.
Whispered whoops of triumph echoed through the tight space as all of the lab coats shuffled out through the polished-clear glass door. Despite the temporary victory of completing their mission undiscovered, however, Max could sense a feeling of uncertainty hanging over the group of scientists like a storm cloud. Everyone on the team secretly doubted the effectiveness of what they were doing. They all knew it was risky. The fog of emotions and fear was almost tangible. All it would take is one unplanned slip-up...
Everything will change now, Max echoed his boss, it will be a brand new start.
