Broken Marriage

Part 3

Kelly was now sitting waiting for someone, on the edge of the city park in their city. Kelly was deep in thought, about the wedding she was going to have with Rayner. Actually Kelly wanted to refuse, but seeing the deadly gaze of her Papa made Kelly only accept their request.
"What did you want to talk to me about?" asked a man, who had just arrived and immediately sat next to Kelly.
Kelly exhaled harshly. "I apologize in advance, I have to tell you this. I'm going to end this relationship," Kelly said, making the man stare at Kelly sharply.
Calvin, the man who was Kelly's current boyfriend looked at Kelly in disbelief. "Am I wrong that you want to end our relationship?" Calvin asked, making Kelly shake her head.
"You're not wrong, I was forced to do all this because I had to marry my father's friend's son to pay off all the debts my father had," Kelly said, explaining.
Calvin exhaled his breath resignedly, he couldn't refuse if that was Papa Kelly's will. Calvin also understood about Kelly's current condition.
"I hope you understand, Calvin." added Kelly, before leaving Calvin who was still silent contemplating himself.
Kelly had to get ready, because soon she would come to her future husband's house. Kelly exhaled, it was very hard to have to marry someone she didn't like and didn't even know. However, she had to do it, for the sake of the family and did not want to make her father disappointed.

Kelly entered her house with a sluggish look on her face, honestly her heart could not let go of Calvin who had occupied that heart for five years.
Sindi approached Kelly, when she saw Kelly's haggard face. "What's wrong with you, dear? Why are you so lethargic?" Sindi asked.
"I was forced to break off my relationship with Calvin, even though I didn't want to," Kelly whimpered, causing Sindi to become concerned.
But there was no other way, nor could Sindi argue with her Duami's words. This was for the sake of the family, Sindi also had to accept and feel the unfortunate fate of her son.
"You have to be patient, Kelly, you have to be willing to help your papa," Sindi said softly, stroking Kelly gently.
Kelly could only nod her head in resignation. "Yes, Ma, Kelly is going to bed," Kelly said, and walked away from Sindi who still wanted to talk to her.
Kelly closed the bedroom door with a bang, jumped on the bed and cried there.  While crying Kelly looked at the photos with Calvin, Kelly was forced to delete one by one their photos in Kelly's gallery.
"I'm sorry Calvin, I really have to," muttered Kelly, and immediately deleted all photos related to Calvin.

Kelly frowned, when she got a call from someone she didn't know. With a feeling of dread, Kelly pressed the green button but never spoke.
"Hello?"  Kelly breathed a sigh of relief, it was Rayner's voice calling her.
"Yeah, what's up?" Kelly answered. Although she still wondered why Rayner had gotten her number.
"It's true, Kelly, isn't it?"
"Yes, it is."
Silent for a while, Kelly was about to turn off the call, but Rayner spoke again making Kelly undo her intention. "Do you have any events tomorrow?"
Kelly frowned. "No, what is it?"
"I want to ask you to get acquainted, do you want to?" I swear Kelly wanted to just disappear now from the world, somehow she was very embarrassed when Rayner wanted to ask her out.
"Uh, you don't want to, huh?" Again Rayner spoke, making Kelly feel bad.
"Mom-not really." Kelly was forced to accept Rayner's invitation, because this would be the beginning so that she could get closer and open her heart to Rayner.
There was a sigh from the other side. "Well if you want, I'll pick you up tomorrow afternoon."
"Okay."
Tut!
Without further ado, Kelly immediately turned off the phone unilaterally. Not caring how Rayner responded to her. Kelly now felt very nervous and panicked, she held her chest which was beating very fast.
"This is the first time I've been asked out by a guy, I'm this nervous," Kelly muttered, looking down at her hands which were shaking slightly.
"Ah I slept! Can't remember it anymore!"

In Rayner's current place, Rayner was excited like crazy. He didn't stop smiling, even hitting the mattress many times. Rayner knew that he was misbehaving right now because he finished his phone call with Kelly.
"Finally, the person I've been admiring is now going to be my wife," Rayner said, laying on the bed and looking up at the ceiling.
"It feels like a dream," Rayner said again.

Rayner's gaze was now diverted when he heard the sound of the door opening, it was Kiana who entered his room.
She was still settling into Kiana's movements, Kiana started to approach Rayner and sat on the edge of Rayner's bed.
"Papa says you have to ask Kelly out on a date, so she can like you. Yesterday wasn't enough," Kiana explained.
Rayner changed his position to sitting, and looked at Kiana happily. "Mama, don't you know that I asked Kelly out before you told me to?" Rayner said, making Kiana incredulous.
"You must be lying!" snapped Kiana. Rayner showed the call log with Kelly, then Kiana believed him and Kiana looked at Rayner with a seductive look.
"So is she really the girl you liked in college?" asked Kiana.
Rayner nodded his head quickly. "Yes Ma, that's the girl I told you about," Rayner replied.
Indeed, Rayner had once told Kiana that he met Kelly in the school cafeteria and Rayner felt that he liked Kelly.
But Kiana didn't believe that Rayner could like a woman that quickly, but this time Kiana's disbelief turned into trust.
"I'm sure you can take good care of Kelly," Kiana said as she gently rubbed the top of Rayner's head. Rayner smiled happily, he silently felt the gentle touch given by his mother.
"Where's Papa, Mom?" asked Rayner, breaking the silence.
"He's still at the company, why don't you go there?"
Rayner shrugged his shoulders. "I don't feel like working, I'm so tired," Rayner said, making Kiana chuckle softly.
"Hey! Just tell me if you want to call Kelly so no one can interrupt! You bastard!" Kiana taunted, making Rayner roll his eyes lazily. Kiana was about to leave, but Rayner grabbed her arm.
"Mom, I'm still wondering why papa wants to set me up," Rayner said, and Kiana had to try to stay calm this time.
"You'll find out later Rayner, the most important thing is that the Kelly family can't pay the debt to your father. I'm going out."
Kiana walked out of Rayner's room, Rayner was still curious about why his father wanted Rayner to marry Kelly, but Rayner dismissed his curiosity, by stalking Kelly's social media accounts.
