Chapter 26: Stranger

~You call me a stranger, you say I'm a danger, but all these thoughts are leaving you tonight. I'm broke and abandoned, you are an angel making all my dreams come true tonight~

"I'm afraid that he'll lose his memory." The doctor tells me. L-lose his m-memory?

I refuse to believe him, that's not even true. He isn't sure of what will happen to his brain yet," What are you talking about, what do you mean by that?"

The doctor just looked at me straight in the eyes," You don't know what it means? He's going to have amnesia."

My heart sunk to the pit of my stomach, I clutched it in pain when he said that. I don't believe it, he can't just have amnesia right now. Nothing had hurt this bad, not even when we broke up for the first time. Tears brimmed in my eyes and I blinked them back.

I stumble myself backwards until I hit a wall then I slid down the wall so I was sitting with my back against it. My fingers were tangled through my hair and let my head sink.

Why is this happening? He shouldn't forget about me and everything else in his life.

Euclid sits down beside me on the wall and rubs my back smoothly to stop the tears, but they keep on flowing out of my eyes," It's okay, Jade, everything's going to be okay."

"Okay? You think everything will be okay when he wakes up? Euclid, he won't remember me when he wakes up. Don't you reallise how painful it is when your boyfriend loses all of his memories and cannot remember a single thing about you?" I burst my anger out, tears still streaming down from my eyes. How could she not feel how I feel when he has amnesia, she thinks bringing his memory back would be so easy for her to do it when it's not.

She lets out a frown and stood up walking away from me. But before she could do it she said something to me," Sorry for saying that, Jade, I was just trying to comfort you that's all."

"But it doesn't make sense at all, it's really hard to make him remember, don't you think?"

"I understand, Jade, but I believe that you'll bring his memories back someday. Just believe in yourself that you can do it, I'm sure amnesia won't affect the heart, just the mind." She tells me and I nodded. Janelle walks over to me and sits down beside me.

I didn't look at her but on the ground instead," Euclid has a point, Jade, there are times that you're having a hard time to let him remember about his life and there are times also that bringing his memory could be easy. Base on my prediction for you, I guess it won't be long enough for him to remember everything, even you."

"How sure are you those predictions are real?" I asked her eye to eye without blinking.

She sighed heavily and said," I know Janice denied that guardian angels don't predict the future, but not all of them often know that I have the ability to predict it because God gave me that power which no other angels know about this. So please, don't tell Janice about this, not even everyone about who is close to you. Euclid already knows about it because she was a given a power like that too."

"Okay fine I won't tell anybody about that power of yours." I rolled my eyes and buried my head on my arms.

Janelle pokes me after a split second and I lift my head to face her," Do you want to see him?"

"Yeah, is he awake?"

"It's obvious when I asked you to see him." She says playfully rolling her eyes on me as I go inside Harry's room.

I feel so nervous to see his face right now. I don't want to know what will happen next if I asked him stupid questions in which he doesn't remember any of it. All I know is that we will fix this in time before it' too late for him not to remember me.
