Chapter 42

Anne decided to go upstairs and swap with Gemma. "Gem go down there doing food now." Anne said as she entered the room quietly seeing both her kids cuddled together. "I don't want him to wake up though." Gemma said as she was pretty sure if she moved Harry would wake up. Anne got into the bed on the other side of gemma and gently rolled Harry into her hold without the boy. "Now you can go downstairs" Anne said. Gemma nodded and ruffled her brothers hair before going to wash her hands and then headed downstairs. Harry slightly stirred but settled into his mums arms. Anne smiled and wrapped her arms her son.

Soon they played some more games but some calmer ones. Liam went over to Gemma as he saw her come down "How is he?" Liam asked. "Tired and he's throwing up hopefully he'll make a quick recovery." Gemma said and I nodded. "I hope so I mean he's upset enough he's missing Louis' birthday let alone Christmas but at least with all the noise down here Louis can't hear Harry throwing." Liam said. "That's very true." Gemma said with a chuckle. Liam sighed hoping it was a 24 hour thing but knowing Harry it would be more than that. Liam went back to play a game with the kids. He hadn't noticed niall had snuck of to find their dad. Louis was too busy with his friends to notice.

Niall quietly went upstairs seeing Gemma come from up there and knew that meant that his dad was probably up there as well. He quietly walked over to his parents room but wasn't expecting to find Anne in there who looked a little shocked to see the boy as she knew Liam was trying to keep both boys unaware of what was going on with Harry. "Ni?" Anne asked and the boy went further into the room. "What's wrong with dad?" Niall asked quietly and Anne sighed. "He is very tired ni" Anne saud. "What is wrong with dad" niall repeated.

Louis started getting tired his friends were still playing as niall went and cuddled with his grandad. "Hey Lou." Robin said and Louis smiled sleepily at the man before snuggling into him. "You tired?" Robin asked. "Hmm." Louis said. "Alright Hang on Love don't fall asleep yet as I think your papa wants to do your cake." Robin said and Louis nodded sitting up slightly and rubbing his eyes. "Can you go and get Liam to hurry up I think he's about to fall asleep." Robin said to Geoff who nodded and went out to the kitchen where Liam was placing candles on the cake.

Anne sighed as she knew Niall was now at the age where he knew if someone was bending the truth and Niall was also very curious. "Niall." She suddenly heard Liam yell and sighed in relief as the boy huffed before disappearing although Anne knew there was quite a high chance that the boy would be back. However Harry was disturbed at the shout and groaned. Anne comforted her son by comforting him and ruffling his hair. Harry knew straight away it was his mum. Niall headed downstairs and found his papa. "Why daddy sleeping" the boy said. "He is very tired but do you want to help me carry the cake." Liam said. "You Alright Haz?" Anne asked and Harry just groaned again cuddling in further to his mum. "I'll take that as a no." Anne said with a chuckle as Harry opened his eyes. "That would be correct." He mumbled. "You feeling sick" Anne asked Harry. He shrugged. 'Do you want me to massage your tummy" Anne asked. "Please." Harry said and Anne nodded rubbing Harry's stomach while Harry curled back into Anne. Anne rubbed his stomach and got the bucket in reach of needed. "I don't think I need that." Harry mumbled but Anne just shrugged. "Better safe than sorry." She said and Harry just shrugged.

Gemma and Karen had their phones out ready to film it and get pictues. "Okay." Niall said helping Liam who had already told everyone else to gather in the living room as they were going to sing happy birthday to Louis.

They switched the lights of and headed over to robin and Louis and everyone sang happy birthday. Louis smiled and blew his candles out at the end before Liam turned the lights back on. "Do you want some cake baby?" Liam asked and Louis nodded making Liam smile. "Just a little though." Louis said and Liam nodded giving Louis the smallest piece he could cut. "Okay who else wants some?" Liam asked once Louis had his and he earned a chorus of yes's. Louis took two bites of his cake before cuddling into his grandad and closing his eye's. Everyone enjoyed the cake. Louis was asleep within 10 minutes and it wasn't long after that that the kids started to get picked up.
