Ch.2|Thank You

Kaito's POV

With my life at the Fujimoto, I loved it. I quickly became close with Rin and he looks up to me so I always try my best as being a good role model. Yukio was a bit cautious about me at first but with the help of Yuuta and Shiro, he slowly began to warm up. I was a few years older than them but I know when I reach a certain age, possibly early twenties or late teens, my body will stop aging. My hair is no longer with Kuran reddish brown since they could possibly be trying to find me, so I bleached my hair and dyed it black. No one but Shiro as well as Mr. Mephisto knows my secret of what I am and I plan on keeping it that way. But as of lately, there have been more attacks but not from demons... from Level E vampires. There has been a large increase of them so I guess that a Pureblood as rising an army... I just hope they won't try to attack home.

At the moment, I'm training with Shiro in combat as well as fighting with Yuuto. With Yuuto as my familiar, he was able to fight back but what I didn't know that he also had other forms but isn't trained enough nor have enough power to do the transformation which I'm fine with. The only forms he is able to do is a larger form of himself which can be efficient in both battle and travel. After failing to hold down Shiro, we finished and I went to go take a shower to wash off the sweat. Getting into the bathroom with a change of clothes, I stripped and went into the shower and turned on the water.

I always make sure to be cautious of others because of my scars which only covered my back... from my previous home. No matter how many times I want these to fade, I still want them there. It's like a reminder, to carefully choose who to trust. I sighed in relief as the warm water helped relaxed my sore muscles. I quickly washed my body and turned off the water and dried it. I got dressed in a black tank top and black shorts reaching above my knees and walked out the bathroom.

I walked around till Yuuto came around and told me that dinner was ready. I went to go and eat dinner with everyone else. Tonight was like a feast, I tried it and it was delicious! "Hey, Kaito! Guess who cooked this?" Shiro asked. I thought he did. I tilted my head and looked around the table to see who could've... oh. I pointed towards the one who had many bandages on his fingers from making and learning from his mistakes. "...Rin" the said boy turned red and scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. "Good guess! This is good, isn't Kaito?" I nodded and continue eating.

I heard them whispering till I heard Shiro asked "Hey Kaito? Today is a special day! Do you know why?" Hmm... the twins birthdays are not till later on at the end of the year. Shiro's isn't until May... I shook my head, not knowing why this is a special day today. This time Yukio answered, "Including today, it has been a full year that you have lived here!" Has it really been that long?

"So, since we don't know your birthday... We made the day you came here your birthday!! This feast is Rin's gift to you!" Rin smiled and I walked over to pat his head in appreciation. Then Shiro gave me some books for studying, the other's didn't like the sound of that but I was happy none the less. Then Yukio came to give me a gift, a small box that was black with a red ribbon. "Y-You can open it now if you want" I opened the box with care and felt inside, feeling a chain I pulled out to see a thin silver chain with a red stone on it. H-How did he manage to get the money for it? It's beautiful... I place the necklace near my heart and smiled "Thank you... everyone" They smiled back and we went back to eating while talking about our day.
