"I love the way you hurt me baby"
. . .Emmett Cullen was a gentleman, more so than Ryan ever expected. He didn't badger her for sex (like most guys would do, or expect). He let her sleep in, which of course was until 3 in the afternoon because her sleeping schedule was out of whack. And he even bought her breakfast and lunch, and no surprise to the both of them, she ate it all. And she ordered a piece of cake to go as well, just to make herself feel better about the trip back to La Push.
The two sat quietly in the vampires cleanly kept Jeep. The wolf wasn't really surprised by his choice of vehicle, the jeep was just like him. Big and intimidating, although that wasn't how she saw him. But it was how he wanted others to see him. It didn't have any doors, it made the ride exhilarating, made her feel like she was flying. Her hair whipped through the wind and her arms flailing about to the loud music blaring from the speakers.
She needed something like this. She had lived an entire year of her life living dangerously poor, but somehow surviving. She was always partying, always drunk and sometimes even high. The party life was her life. And now she was stuck in a small town bound to stay for the rest of her life to protect everyone else. But what if she couldn't even protect herself. Her life had changed, and she had only been back for 2 weeks tops. She was now a giant wolf with a soul mate that sucked blood. It was fucked up.
Ryan was stuck in her own head, she had left La Push almost as bad as she had the last time. And everytime Sam was the one to get hurt. She was constantly hurting her brother and it wasn't fair to him. She knew that and he knew it. Although he would never admit it. He wasn't supposed to be the one watching her, her mother was supposed to be with her. But she died. Than Alison took over and she died. So Sam took on something he never had to do, but he would never give her up to here father. Not that Joshua Uley would want her anyways.
"How am I going to fix this one." Ryan muttered to herself, throwing her head back in frustration. "I really fucked things up Emmett."
The air in the car was stiff, the only sound was Ryan's deep breathes. She was starting to panic.
"Just apologize- that usually makes things better, or atleast starts off in a good direction."
"I quit the pack- I don't even know if you can do that. But I did and now all of my pack brothers are going to hate me, they won't trust me. And than there's Sam, I hurt him every time and he just takes me back. I don't think I can handle that anymore. I can't take that guilt of knowing I disappoint him every time he lets me back in. I'm poisonous to everyone around me."
Ryan was a lost cause at times. She was screwed up. She did screwed up things to hurt her loved ones. She knew that but for some reason she couldn't help it. She would prove to them she could change, she would work her ass off to make everything better. And than something dumb would set her off and in only a few moments she would lose complete control. And all her hard work would go down the drain.
