Waking up, I felt a pain in my head. I don't remember when I fell asleep last night, but at least I got a DM from April.

hey, what was the
homework we had to do today?
11:54pm

hey! we just had to read chapter 7 :)
homework this late?
12:06am

No response.
I glance at the current time, reading 6:45am. Naturally, I set my phone down and stretch as far as I could, while my ankles hang off the edge of my bed.

Brushing my wet, crazy hair, my mirror could hardly give me a silhouette of what I looked like today. My T-shirt was a light peachy color, yet the comfiest shirt I own. The beanie I wear often glared at me and my wet hair, reminding me that I dyed my fluffy hair silver so I wouldn't need to wear it so much. God, I miss that beanie.

The black and slightly ripped jeans I wore had spray paint marks stained in random places. It was a good call with the plain colored T-shirt, and I remember that Leia taught me how to dress. My mom was never around to teach me fashion, and it was hard to "glow up" the way I did in high school. Thankfully I had friends to teach me how to present myself, otherwise my dad would just tell me to wear whatever.

"Dad?!" I yelled.
No answer. Figures.

I throw my backpack around my shoulder, grab my keys off the counter as I shuffled through the empty and messy house, and started to open the door. Rudy looked at me with puzzled yellow eyes, and after making eye contact with my cat he continued to eat his dry food.

My car was the only car parked in our long driveway. My dad's fancy Jaguar was nowhere in sight, which was a surprise to me. I opened the PTCruiser door and shut it as I sunk into the driver's seat. Turning the key I look at the clock as it read 7:50am. I pull out my phone from my front pocket and I had no messages. I decided to dial my dad's number and give him a call.
The phone rang.

"Y-ello!"
"Dad?"
"Hey son, what's up?"
"Where are you?"
"Don't you worry about that Caz, just working hard."

I inched out of the driveway, and put my dad on speaker simultaneously.

"Okay dad I was checking up on you. Good luck with work today."
"Love you bud."
"Love you dad."

The phone hung up and I continued to drive and pick up James for school.

Walking into school was easy because of how close it is to being over. I knew it was just going to be another day of staring at bright red hair. But I didn't expect to see bright green eyes and a speckled nose right in front of me.

"Hey," April said.
She smiled at me, and finally spoke to me. James gave me a nudge and went to join our friends in our spot we hang out in before class starts.

"Hey," I smiled.
"Thanks for the homework last night, and sorry I didn't respond. I just don't communicate well on Instagram."
She was so beautiful. She was up close. Her curly red hair was in her freckled face, and her green eyes looked into mine. She was so innocent.
"Don't mention it April, I'm always up late. What about I give you my number? Incase you need anything?" I said, trying to keep it cool.
She smiled and pulled out her phone. Her phone case was clear, but behind the case there were flowers smushed against her phone.
I gave her my number carefully, making sure that I didn't miss any numbers.
"Thanks Casper," she smiled.
"Hey, do you want to go hang out with me and my friends before class?" I blurted out.
She smiled and looked up at me from her phone after creating my contact. Then she held up the phone to my face and told me to smile.

We approached our table outside and my friends were in a heated argument about how to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. James paused as he saw April standing next to me, and everyone followed suit. Leia gasped and jumped up to pull April to sit by her. Harry winked at me as I sat down at the table. I knew what would happen next.
"April, glad you could join us, but we need to settle something," James spoke.
"Oh... God... What?" She said nervously.
"How do YOU make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?"
