Chapter 4

The car hit the water and Josh could hear Bobby screaming for help as the car started to sink. Panic began to sink in for Josh as he realized they could be in their watery graves. The car then submerged under water, and everything was picth black. ''Fuck how do we get out of this shit.'' Josh said, Bobby decided to stay quiet. Josh felt like he was going to puke he looked out and saw the fish and then had a idea. He pushed past Bobby and searched for a useful tool in the glove compartment. It was a hammer with bloodstains all over it ''He must have used it as a weapon.'' Bobby said, Josh nodded and struck at it... nothing he closed his eyes and struck at it again a little crack like a spider web showed up and gathered all his might and struck it again and water rushed in as the window shattered. Josh closed his eyes as the water first made contact with his skin it was ice cold and his skin begin to feel numb. Josh said ''Ladies first and made a gesture for Bobby to swim out, Bobby gave him the finger and swam out Josh took a deep breath and swam out to the giant sea... he escaped from the death trap! He then realized they were not done yet they had to swam to the surface and get to shore. Josh swam furiously to the surface he broke through and inhaled all the air he could desparte and greedy for oxygen. He looked around... where was Bobby what if-

Bubbles appeared by him and suddenly a head slashed through the surface of the water. Bobby eyes landed on Josh and he punched his shoulder ''Lets go for some dumb sharks get us.'' Josh started to swim he looked ahead they were not far from the shore Bobby followed suit and swam as well. They reached the shore in about three minutes, Josh was happy to be on land again. He was surprised that he did not have the urge to throw up. He felt like shit and he could tell by Bobbys behavior he felt the same. Josh then had a idea ''We should go to my parent's house.'' Bobby grinned ''That is a great idea but lets not go by taxi.'' Josh laughed and nodded in silent agreement. Josh knew this beach he used to go to this beach all the time looking at the traffic from the bridge above... the bridge they just fell from. Josh knew this area like the back of his hand, it was a twenty minute walk to get to his house. Bobby knew the area as well but not as good as Josh. Josh started to walk going past the woman who were staring at them. Then they passed some jocks playing volleyball who did not pay attention to them at all. Josh led the way out to the road he waited for a red light and when he saw the red light he dashed across the street and got to the other side with Bobby right behind him. He entered his old neighborhood and said hi to some old freinds walking past he then found a cat in the middle of the road and carried to safety. Bobby smiled when he saw his old home. He still had the house key he walked up the driveway to the porch and unlocked the door. He remembered when he was a kid the house was only quiet late at night now it was quiet except for the sound of the television in the living room. He shouted out ''MOM!DAD!'' He heard nothing then he saw the note on the fridge his mom went shopping. Just like mom Josh thought and he got a apple in a basket on the counter and took a big bite out of it. He figured his father was wacthing tv so he went to greet him. He entered the room and saw a sight that made him drop his apple, he thought his eyes were playing tricks so he blinked...the same. Oh this is some nightmare this cant be happening he thought.

His father was dead.

He saw the two bullet wounds and blood all over the couch. He frowned as he could not believe the sight before him. Josh got closer and could tell by the other wounds he fought before he went down. Josh saw behind the couch the door that led to the backyard was smashed. He heard a scream behind me and turned to see his mother with paper bags on the floor clucthing her face and a shocked expression. Josh walked to the backdoor when he saw the note he quickly picked it up before his mom saw him. Josh swore as he read it he went to hug and comfort his mother as she cried hard the tears soaking his shirt that just got wet. Josh told her to call 911 and she nodded and went to the bedroom. Josh then sat and waited, soon the ambulance came and the paramedics came and treated him. They put him in the vechile and drove off. Josh let her mother get ready and soon they were in her car and were off.

THREE HOURS LATER.

Josh held his mother and let her cry soon after they recieved the news.

His father was now offically dead.

Bobby the entire time had not spoke a word he could not believe it, Josh loved his father to death and to be taken away from him was a tragic twist. Josh would not allow her mother to enter the room untill she stopped crying. After twelve minutes of tears she was now calm and ready to see...him. Josh went in the room first, his mother came in second and then it was Bobby. Her mother whispered something in her fathers ear and she quickly walked out barely holding tears. Then he heard a voice ''Is it true?'' and Josh turned around and saw his uncle Tyler he nodded. Tyler struck the wall and swore, Josh knew it had to be tough to know his brother was gone. Mom came up to Josh and said ''You should go and keep moving they still after you and right now you a sitting duck.'' Josh was shocked she knew about the bou- ''Bobby told me while you talked to the doctor.'' Josh glared at Bobby, Josh did not his mom to have more stress worrying about her son. Josh nodded and told Bobby it was time to leave. Mom said ''Take my car.'' Josh was about to ask how she was going to leave but Tyler said ''Go she will go with me.'' Josh nodded and his mom gave her the key and he told Bobby ''Lets go.'' They were on ground floor so it was a quick exit out. Thats when Josh turned around and fished something out his pocket, it looked like a note. Josh ''I have to show you this we go tonight.'' Josh gave Bobby the note and he started to read, he frowned this is what it read:

Meet me at the docks no cops or you will regret it bring your partner too.
