A beautiful girl was snuggling more into her duvet, to avoid the sun rays, which were hell-bent on disturbing her beauty sleep. Seeming to have no other option than to give up, she sleepily sat upright on her comfy bed and rested her back on the headrest. She rubbed her eyes to ward off her sleep; and after succeeding in her task; proceeded to take a quick shower and moved off towards the living room, where she found her parents already sipping on their morning tea.

"Good morning, Maa!", she greeted her Mom while hugging her by her shoulders and dropping a peck on her cheeks. "Good morning, Sona!", her mom greeted her back. She then moved to where her dad was seated and said, "Good morning, Baba!", with a sweet smile; resting her head on his shoulder. "Good morning, Baccha!", her dad said, patting her head, lovingly.

Sonakshi Bose, fondly known as Sona, was the only child of her parents. She was brought up with lots of love, yet she was not what you could assume to be, pampered. She was fun-loving and outgoing, but never let go of the values taught to her, by her parents; who were strict yet, happy-go-lucky. Sonakshi had quite recently appeared for her Master's program and was currently enjoying her vacation while awaiting her results.

"So, what is your plan for the day beta?", Bijoy asked her. "Umm...I was thinking of visiting Anjali Maasi. May I?", she nervously asked her parents for permission; even though she knew they would never deny her request to visit Anjali. "Ok!", her parents said in unison, and giving them a toothy grin, Sona returned to her room to get ready.

On the other hand, a tall, handsome guy was sleeping on his king-sized bed. One could easily make out the frown on his face, which had appeared due to the disturbing sun rays, which were peeping in from behind the curtains and disrupting his peaceful slumber. Just then, a woman in her early fifties entered his room thoroughly opened the curtains, sat on his bed, ruffled the guy's hair, and said, "Dev beta, utho!" "Good morning, Maa!", Dev wished his mom, Ishwari, and sat upright on his bed. "Good morning! Jaa ab, jaldi se tayyar ho jaa. Your Dad's waiting for you. You have to visit Mr. Mehta's office with him, na?", Ishwari asked him. "Yes, Mom! By the way, Soumya kidhar hai? Dikhai nahi de rahi.", inquired Dev, noticing his younger sister's absence. "She had gone to her friend's house yesterday for a sleepover. She will be back by the evening. Aur main Di ke yaha jaa rahi hoon. Shaam tak aa jaungi.", informed Ishwari, and asking Dev to freshen up, she left to check on the breakfast arrangements.

Dev Dixit, the elder child of the Dixits, had always been a reserved kind of guy. He laughed, but very little. He was so focused on his career and work that down the line he forgot to live life to its fullest and to have fun. He had matured a tad bit early for his age. He was a perfect example of a gentleman. His sister, Soumya, was the apple of his eye, whom he loved the most, and she too loved him a lot. They were the best siblings in town, and there was no denying that.

After freshening up and finishing their breakfast, Dev and his father, Anant, left for work, after bidding farewell to Ishwari. Ishwari left for her sister, Anjali's place, but not before giving precise instructions to the house help. She informed Soumya of being at Anjali's house.
