So now you've heard the story of Belter. Yes it was tragic, it makes sense for him to drop out of the pirate life and skip out on joining other crews. Well why did he decide to join up with the Casadonia? Well when you hear the story about Devastator you will understand that this was an easy decision for him. So sit back and relax for another story.

The only home Devastator has ever known is on the sea. He was born into a trading family that also did fishing. So they always traveled, going from port to port trading goods, shipping goods, as well as selling the fish they had caught on the way. He had a few siblings who were interested in the family business unlike him so he never had the pressure of falling into it. He just loved steering the ship whenever he had the chance. He was told that if he ever wanted to steer the ship on a regular basis he had to be able to work the ship well. As he was younger he didn't realize his parents was just telling him that to make him help out more with the ship, so for many years he focused on working. He ended up really enjoying working on the ship while still admiring the view of the sea he got every day. Even years after being able to switch ships or deciding to take up another life he decided to stay with his family and work as a crew mate. However he would not remain there for too long.

If you don't want to hear about daily routine as a crew member then feel free to skip to the next section. His duties on the ship were basically anything. He would raise or lower the sails, or turn them. It wasn't that difficult of a job, but it happened fairly often which made it a bit tiring, he never complained though except when it was really windy. Raising the anchor was probably the most tiring job, that thing was heavy! He was lucky that there were a few strong lads on the ship to help him raise the anchor. Since their ship was for trading, this mean it had more duties. These duties involved moving cargo often, organizing things so it would fit or so the more fragile stuff would be safe and sound. It wasn't a big deal at all, just lots of moving stuff and sometimes things were heavy and would require multiple people. All ships should have good maintenance and be clean, but they had to make sure things were extra taken care of below deck so the stuff would look in good condition. Sure their cargo was always in good condition, but looks matter when it comes to selling things. If a container is dented people tend to buy the one that looks better even if the stuff inside is in equal condition, or even if it looks more clean. There was a bit more things he had to do, but I've already said to much. Long story short is that was his daily life for years, of course there was the fun times at port along with fun times on the ship and lots of great conversations.

After years of sailing with his family and working the ship, everything going smooth, then one night everything changed. Their ship came under fire by none other than pirates! This was not the first time though, luckily they had a couple cannons to fire back although they've had very little practice. Devastator hopped on one of the cannons firing back, he actually wasn't doing all that bad especially with the lack of experience. Both ships taking cannonballs into their hull, the pirates brought their ship in close and started boarding, while doing so they threw many ropes across latching onto the railing holding the ships together. Most of the crew members from Devastators ship ran below deck while the stronger, braver members started fighting the pirates in sword to sword combat. They weren't entirely outmatched since they had been practicing with those, there was the sound of swords clashing, guns firing, waves slapping the sides of the ships. Many of the fighting crew members were falling victim to the pirate swords. Throughout the chaos another ship came at them, firing a great many cannonballs, they went into one ship and all the way through the other ship. It was a horrible thing to endure, you could hear the wood splintering and the screams of people being hit by the cannonballs or being hit by the debris. It wasn't long before the ships were sinking and the pirate crew retreating back to their ship to repair to escape but it was already to late. The third ship was boarding the pirate ship finishing off the pirates, then went on Devastators ship and killed everyone. Luckily for Devastator he was hit by a loose sail angler which made him barely conscious, unable to move, was barely able to keep his eyes open when he tried, this made the pirates think he was dead. They returned to their ship and sailed off, as they were sailing away he glimpsed at the sails and saw lots of pirate symbols for their sails and would make sure to get revenge if he got out alive. At this time he didn't know about the ultimate pirate hunters, the Pirate Reapers. The boat went under and devastator was barely able to grab onto a part of the ship that was originally blown off and floating. He pulled himself on it and passed out.
