The bell rang. Indicating that the class had ended

I quietly packed my things as the other students make their way out.

"Hey y/n" I heard Mingyu called

Automatically, my heart started to beat faster

Mingyu is my best friend since elementary days.

"Hey Gyu. What's up?" I replied trying not to stutter

Actually I have feelings for Mingyu. I see him more than just a friend.

But I can't. I don't want to ruin our friendship.

And just because I really can't even tho I wanted to confess really bad.

"You free tonight? I wanted to hang out with you. You've never had a time for me and It's making me really mad at you" he complained crossing his arms.

"Aigooo~ Mingyu-yah~ I know you missed me so much hm? But you know..." I sighed as I remember someone

"Just... Just for today please... Please choose me" My heart jumped when he suddenly hold my hand and squeezed it.

"W-what?" I asked confused

"Just for today.... Let me borrow you" he said with his pleading eyes

"Fine. I'll go text him" I smiled assuring him

I saw how his eyes twinkled and jumped with joy

I laughed at his state as I shook my head.

Mingyu and I were silently walking and chatting in the Park where we used to hang out ever since.

"Hey y/n, do you remember when you cried because you lost your doll here? Hahaha I remember myself searching for it until night time" Mingyu chuckled.

Wait.. He stayed here up all night just to search for my doll?

"And you also cried when we're playing at the seesaw and you can't go down HAHAHA you're so cute" I just watched him reminiscing our memories back then

"And I also remembered when we used to play husband and wife. You also promised me that you'll marry me when we get older" Mingyu stopped and his face is so serious.

I search for his eyes that was already staring at mine.

My face heat up.

"G-yu hehe... We were just kids back then. I didn't know that you'll also remember that" I chuckled bitterly

"Y/n.... Would you believe that... I also hold onto that promise until now?" Mingyu took a step forward at me.

I couldn't move my body at all. I was stoned from where I am watching him getting closer to me.
