What?

Natsu Dragneel POV

So we all planned to go on a job but that meant going though the guild with all this writing on are faces. Just great. Well it has been a month since we when on a mission and ever since Jessica joined. We all walk in and everyone stops what there doing and looks at us. Lucy hides her face in my back and happy presses his face in Jessica's chest... that lucky bastard. 

"Oi! What you starring at! Get back to what you were doing!" Jessica yelled to everyone in the guild. Everyone was quite shocked and wemt back to what they were doing before. You could see most of the guild sweatdrops on their face.

"Jessica and Natsu go look on the broad to see if there are any high paid job, Happy and I will be outside waiting for you guys" Lucy said then ran right out of the guild. I heard Jessica sigh and walk to the broad. Did I do something wrong? Does Jessica not being around me? wait...the kiss... did I fuck up? Does she only see me as family? Suddenly I feel into a gloomy state. 

Jessisa POV

I start speed walking to the job broad so no one could see this 'masterpiece' on my face but in life what really goes the way you want it to?

"Hey dragon girl" Of course metal freak has to be the one to spot me  "whats with the writing on your face" Gajeel asked as he grabbed my cheek. I take a moment to glare at him as he studies my face. When his hand grabbed my chin Natsu's scarf starts to slide down a bit making the 'mine'  visible. I slapped his hand away and adjust the scarf. Looking back at the broad like nothing happened. I could hear him chuckling.

"Looks like something has happened between you and Salamander over there" He said with a smirk on his face. I stop myself from nailing him in the head knowing it would only cause a bigger problem in the near future. So instead I gave him a deadly glare, you could tell by his eyes he was scared shitless not fully knowing what I am capable of but outside he was holding his ground.

"Shut up asswipe " I mumbled burying my face deeper into Natsu's scarf to hide the light tint that danced across my cheeks. Gajeel smirks at me knowing his statement had been proven correct. But of course I can't just let him win. 

"but we all know you love Levy" I said slightly raising my voice while smirking at the pierced boy as he gives me a deadly glare. Gajeel raised his fist up and was ready to attack me. I turned my arms into stone in front of my head waiting for the impact with my eyes closed tightly... yet I felt nothing. I look in front of my arms and see Natsu standing their holding Gajeel fist that was a foot away from my face.

"Back off Iron Head don't lay a finger on her!" Natsu said. I could feel my heart beating fast, the way Natsu looked glaring menacingly at the other boy made me feel like my heart was going to jump out at any moment. Gajeel looked quite shocked from the scene that had just unravel before him but kept his composer.  I love seeing Natsu becoming overprotective but how did he know from across the guild? That last time I saw him was at the guild doors walking over to Mirajane. Whats up with him? Not saying I hate it but all the sudden?

"Get out of this Salamander its not your fight this time" Gajeel said pulling this fist from Natsu's grasp. 

"It is if Jessica is involved!" Natsu said. I could feeling my heart beat picking up speed if possible while I feel a warmth feeling rises across my cheeks. Gajeel back away and looks at the two of us. I may be going crazy but I am pretty sure I saw Gajeel smile before he make his way over to Levy and Lily.

"Natsu?" I said slowly and quietly. Natsu turns around and faces me, instantly his facile expressions turns soft. He places his hand on my cheek as I lean on it. He smiles softly but then feels the looks of the other guild members and looks up to everyone looking at them. I tense up knowing all the attention was now on us and step away from Natsu. He frowns but slowly walks to the broad. He grabs a random job then heads over to Mira to get it approved. I could feel guilt building up in my stomach while looking sadly at him. Once the job is approved he signals me to the doors and we walked out to see Lucy and Happy in a heated arugment.

"YOU FUCKING CAT CAN'T YOU JUST UNDERSTAND THAT I LIK- Jessica? what happened you look so...depressed" Lucy said and Happy just continued to eat his fish he had in his mouth.

"Its nothing to be worried about Lucy" I said with a fake smile on my face which she bought. Natsu walk out with the same face I had on before. Lucy looks at both of us and had a confused face and I just gave her the 'dont worry about it'  face and she just nodded.

"Okay so do we have a job?" Lucy asked. 

"Yeah the job said we have to travel to summer village which is a good two day walk but a one day train ride and we have to capture a person that keeps kidnapping girls its 100,000,000 jewels" Natsu said and Lucy looked scared but agreed to do it. I didn't realize they were calling name has I was stuck in thought. Back in the guild did I mess up with Natsu? I didn't want the guild to get the wrong idea of Natsu and I! We are just friends but yet it pains my heart to say that. I snap out of it when I notice a someones faces right in front of mine. 

"AHHH" I yelled trying to move away from this person only to have my head hit their head. We both fall back with pain running though our heads.

"Owie" I said holding onto my head and looking up to see Natsu holding his head in his palm in pain as well.

"Sorry Natsu! I didn't know you were right in front of me!" I said with a little pink on my cheeks. I try to calm myself down but thought how close we were and my face went as red as Erza's hair.  I think Natsu saw my blush causing him to blush too.

"It's ok Jessica it was a accident" Natsu said standing up and held a hand down to me. I smile at the kind gesture while reaching my hand out to him. As soon as our hands make contact I feel a spark. I jump a little and look up to Natsu seeing confusing lace his eyes. What the fuck was that? I brushed it off as Natsu completely lefts me off the ground. 

"So I'm guessing we are going on a train" Lucy said and Natsu face turns purple. I start to panic thinking something bad was happening to him. 

"It's ok Jess! Natsu just gets motion sickness" Lucy said and Happy have his little "Aye!" which is just plain adorable!

"Well let's get going then the quicker we finish the faster we can come back!" Lucy said and we all went to are places to start packing for the mission.

I know it was short and im sorry about that but I will try to make the next one longer! So I am going to make this a Mate story because you beautiful people said you would be ok with it so yeah next one should be longer~M
